no , i mean that when you JJ, torso twist, fire, and then land, theres a glitch where suddenly your looking like 90,180 degrees away from where you <should> be looking and you have to figure out  what direction your actually facing.
I think its something that only happens when you JJ? but it sure is a pita for using a scat in close quarters.
Hm... I think you mean:
  • Use Jump Jet.
  • Upon landing, start turning your feet left or right, before the landing is complete.
  • Once the landing is complete (i.e. the landing animation has finished), your Mech's feet will instantly turn to the direction where you (virtually) turned your feet during the landing animation.
This is indeed very annoying. I wanted to make a proper bug report for that for a long time now, but I never got around to it, since I wanted to capture it on video. I always thought this would happen with any JJ capable Mech, but now that you mention it and I think about it, I always only encountered it in the ShadowCat. Can't remember such an incident in another Mech.

Even though I use the Shadowcat a lot I only encountered this last night.   Though it didn't seem to matter whether I started turning my legs at the top of the jump or right as I was landing, just as long as I was holding down A or D.    Also I think it only happened when I jump jetted straight up.

Warhammer C is one of my favorite mechs. It can engage anything at medium range and enjoys particular (and sometimes surprising) success against Aerospace since most pilots don't expect to get hit by LBX at 700m while making an attack run. The pair of machine guns also puts pilots into panic mode as they are realizing that they just got hit by the equivalent of an LBX20 just as they start their attack run. A cloud of MRMs is the final persuasive measure to convince them to peel off, and once they do the LBX10s have reloaded and they've given you a nice belly shot to finish them off.

Against mechs, those LBX10s can add up quick, especially once the enemy gets into LBX20 range (~450 meters or closer), they can really land a solid smack, followed up the MRMs. Even better, if the enemy has a Narc on them, those MRMs chew a hole through a mech like its armor was bacon and the MRMs were piranhas. The LBX10s are then best use to exploit said hole in the armor and get a quick kill.

Beautiful machine with plenty of extra ammunition on it. When I have run out, it was only because there was a field of burning enemy assets left in my wake.

I don't think piranhas would eat bacon.  Too salty.

note to self: before going swimming with piranhas, bathe in salt and bacon grease  ;D

Yes, the important thing is to keep holding down A or D before the Landing procedure is complete.

Something I noticed when mucking around with the Partisan A (4x LBX5's) for the first time  today is the LBX spread seems to get really odd depending on how high your trajectory is. When I was shooting nearly straight up the shots scattered in two almost perfectly vertical lines (one from the left turret and one from the right turret) rather than a shotgun blast in the middle. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just the tax paid to FPS games having difficulties handling things when pointing nearly straight up or down?

And have anyone noticed that usually when that happens to some Mech, if you try shooting it for example with UAC20 after it lands and before it suddenly changes direction, they'll often miss to register as a hit (if not always)?
