Welcome to the 26th Weekly Update by the team of MechWarrior: Living Legends, a Crysis total conversion modification, which covers the activities of the the shared week of September and October of 2009.

Welcome to September's fifth weekly update featuring a number of new assets and improved impressions from SA_Clearcut as well as two size comparison shots comparing MWLL Mechs and Crysis buildings. As usual, a couple of screenshots from the weekly playtests complete this update. Enjoy!

New assets

More life is coming to MWLL war zones... Check out these assets below, displayed on SA_ClearCut, but available on other maps, too. In case you're missing base defense walls, these are currently being reworked and the placeholders have been removed for these shots. Also, we hope you like the new waterfalls and river on SA_ClearCut.

Size comparison: MWLL Mechs and Crysis buildings

The two screenshots below illustrate a question that often arises: how big, compared to Crysis, are MWLL assets actually? As you can see on these shots, not even the smallest Mechs would fit into Crysis vehicle factories.

Playtest Impressions

Again, here are a few pictures from this week's playtest.

'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

That waterfall shot makes me think of Valhalla from Halo 3.

I can't help but be amazed at how detailed and shiny everything looks, especially the mechs, since I last came here.  Keep up the great work, so long as it means more amazing shots of the mod.

Or give it a positive spin and use this as a form to practice patience/endurance.  I guarantee it'll make the end result all the greater than instant gratification  ;)

Very nice scale comparision. I never gave the Awesome much notice in MW4, but in this game it lives up to its name.

i was wondering if the asteroids in Extremity are low enough to pose a hazard to areospace fighters?

I second that. I also chuckled at the signs on the crates too.

Is there still going to be aerospace in the beta? We haven't been hearing/seeing much about them in the weekly updates...

Also, do I spy mech footprints in playtest pic #2 and #4?  ;D

I like the comparison shots. However its hard to get an accurate idea since the edges seems to distort the image, and it makes the awesome and atlas look really big and wide in comparison to those in the middle.

Btw what are those orange balls in front of the hanger?

You're doing a map on an asteroid in space without aerospace fighters? O_o
May I ask why? It sounds like a perfect fit to me.
