This game has basically been my crack in what free time I've alloted myself in the past weeks.

Great game, despite it being a total console port.  But, atleast the game is awesome and the performance is good so I can bear some stupid control/UI design flaws.

Level 31 Siren at the moment.

Didn't really come across that personally, the only thing is not having a hot key assignable to med kits that was about it for me.

It's all I've played lately too. Just finished my first run though, finals week has been restricting my gaming
I like it for the most part. The gun generator keeps things lively and the style is pretty fun. Starting my second run through with a siren, just finished with a lvl 35ish hunter.

this game has swallowed my life 

played through twice on a lvl 50 hunter... now on a lvl 24ish soldier, 1st playthrough.

most effective gun found : Pestilent defiler, revolver, 400-450ish damage, 98.00 accuracy, 0.8 fire rate, 6 round clip, 4x corrosive, ironsights. 

most interesting gun found : Angry crux, shotgun, 150x9 damage, 26.00 accuracy, 1.2 fire rate, 8 shells a clip, 3x blast, small scope, "cross their hearts and hope they die..." fires pellets in a cross pattern, 9/10 times theres a headshot if i aim for the chest 

both guns are orange rarity

I'm planning on getting the game soon, but I've heard its not as fun when you're playing by yourself, is that true?

it is indeed, reccomend you get some friends to play with

single - pretty good
co-op - fun fun fun!

I've played most of my time with the game doing solo, it's still a lot of fun.  Co-op is obviously more fun but chances are you're not going to be able to co-op with your friends ALL the time when you play.  Especially when doing story-based missions as there's a good chance you'll not be at the same point others are in the story.

i did my firest playthrough solo, just so that I know where everything is, what the quests are, so that later when i play with other people i'm not lost, asking questions, or taking too long exploring

Level 30 something Berserker right now.

I tried to play online but I had major lag issues and there is no way to see ping before you enter a server so I got kind of annoyed and went back to single player.

And all my friends have crappy computers so I cant really get a LAN game going with them.

Most definitely, I had a single player play through and it was a bit on the easy side.  Decided to play with a few friends at work whilst away on-site (gaming laptop ftw ) and we had a blast and it's a much more challenging (and rewarding) game and far more fun with 3+ people.

i dont remember what my gun was called but it was a shotgun magnum that fired 7 pellets at 200 damage a shot.

i recently found a purple rarity shotgun that fired 3 rockets in a spread for, i think, 300ish damage a rocket. named the GG60 terrible carnage. i like it so much.... also a hyperion gun so i can get some range out of it.

i just found a Eridion shotgun that dos fair damage and says, Lighting doesn't strike the same places twice but it strikes freaking every were

the thunderstorm? that thing kicks ass. eridian guns arent as rare as one would think and they are all very alike sadly... i was hoping they would be super rare uber guns that did totally freakish things
