Even screenshots of "Oh god another Madcat" show that the devs are active and haven't all gone home to play MW2 =D (Yes I know you haven't :P)

I'm sure there are plenty of people who aren't very vocal on the forums, or maybe even don't visit the forums much at all - to them a lack of updates for a month and a half doesn't look good, regardless of the actual reasons behind it.

What I'm saying is, more frequent, less complex updates could do well to generate - and maintain - interest. Hell, even something like a "Screenshot of the week". Take a pretty looking mech or vehicle landscape or fancy particle effect or piece of user interface... etc, put it up there with a note saying "Yes we are still alive =D" or something - Doesn't take much time away from finishing that texture/completing that model/unlocking that ACR shotgun.

But, as ever, thats just my two cents :P

screenshot of the week would work IMHO, but i cant complain seeing as the monthly updates, while not as frequent, will be all the more juicy due to anticipation ;) consider the progress between weekly updates, with all the progress since the last one til now we'll probably go kablooie in our underpants  :-X

and besides, we have the devs favorite section anyway

but im getting vibes of beta announcement this month...

The point im trying to make is the dev's can sit here all day and tell you about all the cool shit we are trying to do, or we can just do it.  There will be news and updates, its just work is progressing at a pace that showing you screenshots of a Madcat you have already seen really does not do things justice.

I think my work is done here.

I have to agree with Gibbage on this, yes it is cool to see screenies and updates but the most important thing is to let the devs get on with the job of making the thing, if people loose interest for now then fine but when it is released i bet they will come flooding back

first they say its back to monthly updates. then they say by the end of november. geeze there is only 1 day left in november! I hope the only reason for this is that they are soo super close to relese in some form that they are holding off untill its ready. If thats the case I could wait another week or two.

I hope this isn't another year long postponment like last christmas I woke up christmass morning and hoped MWLL would be in my stocking. Boy was i a sad puppy that day.

One thing I noticed is that when the weekly updates became monthly updates, forum activity dropped a bit. When the monthly updates ended, this forum pretty much became a ghost town. Now I Just log in once a week to see if there is anything interesting being discussed, but since we have had no news, I don't bother responding to threads.
