Version of Crysis?

I was just curious as to which version of Crysis we would need to have installed to install the mod, or if it even matters. I installed Crysis back in July and haven't updated it or anything, and I just wanted to find out if I needed to go download patches or not. And, I believe I remember reading in a thread several months back that the actual release of the game, not the beta will be in Crysis Wars, yes? Just trying to figure this out so I know what to download and if I need to install Wars or not. Any helpful responses would be appreciated.

you need the 1.2 patch with the 1.21 hotfix 

and after the mod has been out a while it will be moved to crysis wars, when i dont know.

Thank you, Lightning. After struggling with my DVD drive to read the disk and having to re-install my old drive, I finally managed to start the game to see which version I had so now I get to go download the patches! But, I checked here and you had links for them already. Thank you very much!

The first release of CRYSIS is fine for now, but you save bucks going for the CRYSIS MAXIMUM EDITION! With the latter you'll get Crysis, Wars and Warhead in one deal.

This has been answered on the forums but I will answer it again

Grab regular Crysis patched to 1.21 to play the Beta. Plans are for final version to put it on Crysis Wars to take advantage of the improved CryEgine code.

If you want to play the beta too, you'll need regular Crysis.
Crysis = Maingame
Wars/Warhead = Expansion

Just buy the maximum edition if you have neither of those yet.
