« on: December 24, 2009, 09:36:51 PM »

How will the progression, credits, buying, upgrading, damaged mechs, destroyed mechs, battle suits, tanks, etc work out..

will everyone be running around in battle suits for a few days making money to buy the lighter mechs?

2 days and you can find out yourself! No need to write all this up with the beta right there ;)

Progression has been stated to be like Crysis Power Struggle with the SA Game Type, minus the capturing of objectives. Do damage and or get kills and rank up. Simple as that for SA. All other questions of buying assets can be answered by trying Crysis Multiplayer on Power Struggle.

As was stated some time ago, it will be possible to purchase light mechs, tanks and aero fighters right from the start.
I've been waiting for a long time, for this moment to come.
I'm destined for anything...at all.

You seem to assume, that Ranks/Credits will be permanent.
They're not, just as in normal Crysis Powerstruggle, you rank up as you fight/capture stuff etc and when a new map start, everything resets to zero, so each new map starts everyone off with the same assets.

what! the rank resets after the match is over. then whats the point. man hearing this is a real turn off. i'll still prolly play alot "i mean alot" but not being able to save the rank ect is going to hurt. having the rank and stuff save is a good way to keep people into the game.

Also, it's a good way to keep people out of the game . .
Imagine you come in some days later, everybody is stomping around in an Atlas or Daishi, zooming around in Jets or Tanks and you?
You get to play in Battle-Armor. Have fun.

While I understand keeping everything equal, I still think that we might should look at adding a mode to make the multiplay more like it was in Mercs.  There you would be given a drop tonnage and deal out the mechs you had to your pilots.

In the books, you didnt see everyone get out of the drop ship and start having a strong man contest to see who would get the Dire Wolf and who only got a Kitfox.

I believe that in Solaris Arena mode u will be able to choose any mech/vehicle right from the start

I've played a few games so far, and I dont think i'll ever get past a light mech, Coupled with the crashes, and all the issues with gamespy and crysis as usual, this mod is turning into a chore.  Frankly if I wanted to play counter strike i'd play counter strike.  Its a poor formula for this universe.

I'm not really a fan of resets. By the time you get to heavy or assault mechs the match is over. That's really meh. Not fun imo to run around in a light mech the whole time.

keep playing and getting better, this has not been the case as far as I've seen.  Assaults should be the epitome and I'd rather have them late than always have them, not very fun.
