Please for the love of.....we need a detailed step by step install tutorial

i cant even figure out how to get it installed and working properly, nobody seems to be able to explain this for those who are not used to using mods.....i did everything they said to do, i unrar'd it, copied the Mods folder to my Crysis directory, then followed the instructions in the sticky about replacing the actionmaps.xml file in the default directory (the only one i have), then placed a shortcut to the mwll launcher to my desktop, it brings up the splash screen and i choose launch 32 bit, then i get a black blank screen.....wait several minutes....still nothing, do a ctrl-alt-del and get into task manager and it says the program has "stopped responding"

what now...

yes, when i launch the normal 32 bit exe on my desktop it launches Crysis fine

i was wondering if i was running the latest patch or not though....i found through a quick google that i am showing version 1.1.1..58.71 or whatever it is....it matches the latest version number anyways....i thought i remembered patching it a long time ago.....so now what

it actually says in the bottom right hand side of the screen i think for crysis.

Either way what you can do to run the mod if its not going from the laucher is to create a shortcut to the crysis.exe you want to use.

Next right click the shortcut and you will see a target window with text that looks something like

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe"

What you then want to do is add -mod mwll to the end so it will look like.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin32\Crysis.exe" -mod mwll

then run it and make sure the window is active if its all black.

yes, i tried this already also, when i launch the original crysis shortcut with the -mods mwll extension added in the properties it launches regular crysis, not the mwll mod

ok, im tired of guessing.....i figured out eventually that the extension needed to say -mod mwll not -mods mwll, thats why it was launching the regular crysis exe, fixed that and i get the same result as if i launch the mwll launcher, i just never get the Alpha Launcher screen, just a black screen....tried all the various compatibility modes for other operating systems (I am on Windows 7 x64, but Crysis x86 runs fine on here), tried giving administrator access to the exe, all things i dont have to do in order to get Crysis itself running, it works fine.....guess i will go do something else and come back in a day or two when things are more sorted out.....thanks

Try running 32 bit mod if you haven't allready.

I for instance cannot run the game in 64 bit mode.

Please note that if the game was loaded from STEAM the install directions are WILDLY different than what is being posted for a DVD/CD installed game.

I apologize up front for my ignorance but once I have Downloaded the RAR where do I extract the Files to? I have CD version on Vista, my crysis.exe is 32bit.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, cant wait to play this MOD.

there is no mod changer anywhere in the game menu's on my game....and to answer the suggestion above, i have been using 32bit Crysis and now trying to use the 32bit version of MWLL, tried 64bit once just for grins since i cant get it working at all, same result

guess im just going to uninstall Crysis and start all over, even though it was a fresh install and updated fully already...any chance i can run the mod on the demo version?, i cant find my disc now.....

I downloaded my version from EA Downloader when Crysis first came out.So how do i install MWLL now?  This is becoming a pain in the a__.
