Did you ever find a solution to your problem?
I play Crysis with a no-cd patch too and my disc is scratched to buggery.
Got MWLL installed and running but when you try and connect to a server to play it gives me the 'modified MWLL files please revert' red error box. I can only assume this is down to using the no-cd patch. Would that be correct?
I am dying to play MWLL, is there literally no way of me playing it at all without having an un-scratched copy of my Crysis disc?
Any help much appreciated.

Crysis.exe is not a MWLL file. Have you tried editting anything that is not actionmaps.xml? This error should only be coming up if a different file has been modified? Have you had a recent virus on your pc? (Sometimes after being fixed by antivirus, the file won't be the same as it was originally). Does it tell you which file is bad?

Hi Xarg thanks for your reply.

It doesn't give me any indication as to which file is bad in the error message.
No files have been modified whatsoever apart from the fixed Crysis.exe file that I got from GCW for the latest version of Crysis.
I borrowed a friends Crysis disc and ripped an ISO of it so I could re-install the whole lot from scratch, updated it then re-installed LL.
This made no difference at all either.
The MOD loads correctly as far as I can tell, as in, the menu screen is different and if you enter a single player campaign it loads the MWLL hud with jumpjets and starts a new game, minus being able to kill any enemies, one clip empties and reloads with an empty clip every time and the hand around the pistol is invisible.... Is this normal or does that automatically shout out issues to you? Also, from the menu screen, a lot of the 'Okay' or 'Yes' 'No' red prompt boxes that come up here and there have a garbled text string on them, is that normal for the mod or is that also an installation error. These things among other little bits have been there every time I have tried installing the MWLL mod. I will have a look in the bug reports forum shortly to see if they are listed in there.

I haven't had any virus' recently no. I'm running windows 7 x64 if that makes any difference? Something to do with permissions or something possibly? Although I have disabled UAC and all windows 7 built in protections. Run as admin etc.
Also as a side note I am running the 32bit version of Crysis as I have never been able to get the 64bit version to run. Just quits after a brief black screen, even though I have applied the 64bit nocd patch to that too. Don't know if that relates to anything.

I have  attached a picture of the error I get after I have put a server ip address and port number into the local network game connection screen.
Would even love it if I could figure a way of stomping around a bit single player. Is that possible? I just want to see how good it all looks really.

Your help is appreciated greatly. Would really love to get this working.

i will jump in here, MW:LL is a multiplayer game only. if you launch in single player it gives you vanilla crysis with a MW:LL wrapper. try launching the multiplayer.

I am only really trying to get it to run online, was just playing the single player to see if the effects were correct for a proper install of MWLL, by what you have said I would say they are.

I was only talking about single player incase there was a way of just being able to stomp around in a mech without actually having to be online, like a switch that can be set on the shortcut or something, but I'm guessing there isn't.

Anyway. Looking forward to a reply regarding my issue.

Host your own game, and you can play MWLL solo. You have no one to shoot though.

I actually tried this and it said I need at least 2 players to start the game. Am I doing something wrong in the config?

Ignore the message and just play. The game doesn't ''Start'' properly with one person, but you can still buy a mech or tank etc, and walk around shooting trees. Choose a team, then choose a spawning location and your ready to go. Just press M.

Wish I hadn't gotten it working at all now, just makes me want to play it properly online with you lot. Looks spectacular. Not going to fork out for another copy of Crysis though. Not until it's in the bargain bin anyway ha.

Not reading through this thread now but did you ensure the download worked? We offer MD5sums to our files, if those don't match you probably have a corrupted download which could cause the error to pop up. Also completely delete the MWLL directory when installing the mod again.

If your getting a black screen on x64, make sure your DX is updated, you have full persmission for your ''My Game Folder'' and if the window isn't maxamzized, click it and press alt + enter. Some people have also had to reinstall MWLL to get the x64 to run.

1. install crysis
2. install patch 1.2
3. install patch 1.21
4. install MWLL 2.0
5. Start Mwll launcher and choose 32bit or 64bit
6. if you want to play in dx10 make a shortcut whit crysis.exe and add -mod Mwll -dx10 to target

If you have Vista or Win 7 it will always run DX10 mode by just running the game.

If you want to play in dx9 make a shortcut with crysis.exe and add -mod Mwll -dx9 to target

Thats what you have to do if you want to run in DX9.
