Random crashes are to be expected. Some more than others. It's still a beta but we hope you still are able to enjoy it without crashing too often.

Cheers,

OK one thing I noticed already.

Make sure you didn't Unrar into the crysis/game folder ok? you have to unrar and places the mods folder in the crysis folder like this c:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/Crytek/Crysis/Mods/mwll

Now for the launcher:

go into the mods/mwll folder and there you'll find something called a launcher - right click, click send to desktop, or in some cases create shorcut, if so then drag your shortcut onto the desktop.

Once you click the launcher it will ask you if you want to launch 64 bit or 32 bit version of mwll

Oh and one last thing, Go to your "My Documents/my games/crysis/ and delete your "shaders" folder. I find that when you delete this that it fixes many crash issues. as for the crash on start up, try deleting the entire crysis folder found in the My Documents/My games/ folder.

Got it?

Thank you so much, I got it to work. I did Unrar it into my crysis game folder. However, I deleted the My Documents/My games/ folder and it started up!

Anyone who has the issue that it won't startup, please delete this folder =)

For me it seems to crash after about 5-10 minutes in game, reliably. I deleted the shaders folder too. Any ideas, fellas?

Now I've got multitudes of issues.  I don't know whether it has to do with running 64bit Windows 7, but maybe someone can give me a hand.

First off, the game starts up fine, but if I do a number of things I do listed below both on running it on 64 & 32bit, it gives me the error message, "Crysis has stopped working" and i have to close the program.

-Trying to switch to fullscreen (for some odd reason it defaults to a smaller screen)
-Attempting to log on to Crynet for Online matches
-Set up a local area match, but it crashes when the loading screen reaches 100%

I've tried a number of solutions that have been mentioned on these forums, but none seem to solve my issue.

Any suggestions?

I have the exact same issues... Thought the Local Area match was gonna work, but nope... :( Deeply sad... been trying all day to make it work.

first off my system specs are on the low end for Crysis. I'm running everything on low, except for shadows med. and yes I need a new computer, Crysis came out about a month after I got my system, it's an Alienware box

2.93Ghz  CoreDuo
680i motherboard
2gigs of ram
GX2 7950
Vista

I was crashing alot, almost too much to play. but 2 things so far seem to have helped some.
First I updated to latest nvidia drivers for me 192.56 and then I also turned off the ingame VOIP. The sound crackles a little but I haven't had it cutout completely anymore

Now I'm not totally crash free but I feel it is better and can complete a match. Also the less time I spend in spectator mode the better, Seems to always CTD if
I linger in spec.

setting the processor affinity for Crysis to use just one processor totally fixed my crash to desktop. Played over 2 hours and no crashes on multiple servers.

I'm just going to echo what was said before; shutting off VOIP fixed my sound issues.  Everything is a bit muted and quiet, but I no longer get any cutouts.

Unfortunately, setting my affinity to only one processor BSoD my system, so no work-around for the crashes yet.

Still the most mech fun I've had, and the only multi-player shooter I've enjoyed.
