Hello all! I've been a member of the forum for I think a year now but haven't had any time to get the game working until about a week ago. Installation was a breeze and I found clicking 'repair build' fixed my FPS problems.

I was salivating over the game in youtube videos a year ago and thought "man, this is finally the game I've been waiting for". So I finally play it two days ago and find out I suck lol. Much harder than I thought it would be...but that's good. I don't like games where any 12 year old can be given a controller and can kick ass outta' the gate. Anything with a learning curve is definitely my preferred style. This game has it in bounds. The first two hours I played I just ran around in BA and couldn't figure out how to buy a mech LOL.

With that said, thank you for making this mod/game. I really really dig this mod and want to thank you for putting the project together. I'm not a fan of the older mechwarrior games (never had a chance to play them; I'm more a TF2/CS kinda' guy), but this game has so much going on in just the HUD it's plain to see for this newb that this game requires some forethought and planning and so far it kicks ass. Also helps it runs beautifully on my 5 year old laptop on 1920x1200.

I like this one... let's keep him

...I'm not a fan of the older mechwarrior games (never had a chance to play them; I'm more a TF2/CS kinda' guy)

Forgive him his sins.  I hadn't really played any Mechwarrior games until I heard about this game and thought I'd get some practice in on MW4 until I got a computer that could run mwll.  Which brings us neatly to this

Also helps it runs beautifully on my 5 year old laptop on 1920x1200.

Jebus, what specs have you got on that laptop?  And how much did it cost!? I have a 6ish year old laptop and I would never even think of running MWLL on that

Alienware M17X. qx9300 quad core (2 duo cores glued together actually) and an nvidia 280m GTX. I have a rising suspicion 8GB of RAM doesn't hurt either  ;D ;D ;)

5 years ago that must have been very expensive indeed, like $3.5K?

This game is awesome.

I can't say enough how much enjoyment I've had out of this mod.  Best mechwarrior game I've ever played, and it was free!

Been a battletech fan since boardgame days when I was a kid.

Looking forward to watching this game grow.

Some days I'm so in awe of the whole Combined Arms Battletech that I feel like Grayson Carlyle, it's like a 1st person MechCommander  8)

So I just recently got this game installed, and I absolutely love it. My favorite things so far are how it never feels like your mech just isn't big enough to do anything, nomatter how late it is in the game. Especially cause the light mechs can actually pack some firepower. Another thing I love is how massive assault class mechs feel. I've never played a mech game where the assault classes actually feel and look freaking huge, even when compared to the heavy class. I haven't gotten to play an assault much, but I think this game really nails the scale and firepower of the big mechs.

Sorry for a late reply, I had a lot of stuff going on lately so it was not until now that I been able to try out 0.5.6. It's amazing! Love the balance adjustments and visual changes, love all the new content, just freaking love everything about this mod! Every time it seems it couldn't get any better it magically becomes even more awesome than it was before. Kudos to all the dev team!

P.S.: 0.5.6 (U)AC10 rocks! :3

I cant tell all the things i like about this mod without weeping uncontrollably  :'(
I can tell you that i have spent an absolute fortune playing it, to the sum of £25 per week since June last year... Curse you 3!!
worth it tho.. hell... id even do things to the devs as a way of saying thanks, things that would make my dad quite unhappy :D
All jokes aside, MWLL is a triumph!! All the devs should (quite rightly) feel triumphant!! :D

In spite of all the complaints about missing, "necessary," features, features that are thought impossible, you've proven that you are in fact constantly improving the base technical resources of this game and giving us a richer, more complete experience.

You guys are awesome.
Thanks for the view.
