Battle Armor Known Issues
« on: December 27, 2009, 06:19:51 AM »
-Death or damage upon collision with an object while moving fast
-Not "Auto-standing" if you land on an object (not terrain) not right side up
-After releasing the fire button on the BA TAG laser, a ball of white light will flash on the top of the player's screen

I don't know if it's supposed to be like this...but there's no weapons recycle indicators for battle armor. You have to remember how long it takes for each weapon to recycle. It's very obnoxious having to keep track of how long it's been since you last fired while trying to dodge around tanks.

It's so true.

Known. The weapons displays and recharge indicators will be implemented at a yet unknown date.

Also is the issue with the JumpJets exhaust getting stuck on top of the Player.

I believe on clearcut with the hanger location, I would spawn and fall through the control tower floor.

I seem to either Randomly over heat on inferno or someone is using a crazy weapon over heat an kill me like in 3 or 4 seconds. Is like I jumped in the volcano! I mean BAM! Its happend a few times an says player kills me so It could be hacker? I dont know anyweapon that Kills that fast much less over heats you almost instantly. I think they use power armor.

This happened to me too, and after it happened I pretty much had noclip for the whole building including VTOL pads and Aero hangers.
All of my posts are of my personal opinions unless obviously otherwise.

Hi,
when you are Tagging at Night and your Night Vision is "On",you cant see anything because the muzzle flash of the TAG-Laser blends you extremly.
The only Solution is to Zoom, but this not the best i think.
Sometimes when you out as a Battle Armor at Night, and youve been killed and respawn, Night Vision dont work.

btw. The Mod is Fantastic (cant say it often enough)....;-)

I notice that I will sometimes lose my targeting reticule as a ba, after either ejecting, or cycling weapons.

Known Crysis Issue! This is a remnant from the Delta difficulty in single player. It may happen with any weapon at any time.

i had my harrasser overheat and shut down upon leaving the hangar in extremity... just driving it caused the overheating... i had to dump coolant just to get to the front, during the night cycle it was fine/ fixed the problem for the next day cycle... (oh and yes i got out to check for BA's with flamers)
It's fumbles... it was always fumbles...

I have two issues with BA's:

1. While jumping forward your momentum seems to exhaust in mid air and you drop like a stone which is unrealistic. Objects in motion tend to stay in motion. If you were moving forward in midair and lost thrust you would still move forward at relatively the same speed while dropping due to gravity unless some outside force like wind or something altered the speed of your forward motion.

2. It seems like where your weapon lines up in your first person view and where it actually lines up are two different things. I keep peeking over rocks to shoot at a target with my manpack PPC and a lot of times I kill myself as if I shot an invisible wall in front of my face. Apparently I did not rise above the ridge enough but even sometimes trying to make sure I have enough room it still happens. VERY ANNOYING.

There is a global wind resistance value that causes this I believe I read.

I'm not sure if that is by design but on mechs you ahve to be aware of the profile of your mech and the weapon locations as it is very easy to fire into your own cover if you don't have the necessary clearance.  This is especially true for low hanging arm weapons and less true for shoulder mounted weapons.  The weapons will fire from their locations on the model relative to the cockpit/reticle.

meaning the arm of the ba, which is lower than your shoulder, will allways hit something right below your chin.
raise up untill half of you is visible and then shoot. that's enough of an advantage for you little toads <.<
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

I don't know if this is an issue or working as intended. I have a hard time getting grenades to stay on mechs. If they're standing still or moving very slowly and I bean them in the face, it usually stays. I they're moving at a decent pace or I hit them from the side or the back or the legs, it'll stick for about .25 secs before falling to the ground.
