Need help with mod install on Steam version of Crysis (Running Win 7 x64)

Can anyone help?  I've read the install instructions for what I think was the cd/dvd install and I can't get the mod to run correctly.  Does anyone have any idea how to setup this mod for a Steam install?  Please help!

Additional Information:

1.)  Steam has no update option for Crysis Wars
2.)  Listed version is 1.1.1.6156
3.)  Tried updating via Fileshack to 1.2 via a stand alone updater, errors out with code (1642)
     a.)  Have to update to 1.2 before updating to 1.2.1
     b.)  Update 1.2 is suppose to update all previous versions of the install

Found the physical directory, updating install instructions after I confirm they work.

The mod only works on vanilla Crysis.

Sorry if I was unclear, its the Crysis Wars pack that was sold by steam, which includes Crysis, Crysis Wars, and Warhead.  I have Crysis installed, not Wars.

I am not quite sure how different the install is for Steam, sorry I am not more help.

Its a problem I've noticed with Steam in general.  The program installs are locked up in .gcf files in what I'd assume is some kind of virtual image.  The problem is that when mods do come out for the games you purchased through Steam, there's no game directory structure to plug them into that makes any sense (atleast to me).

I bought Crysis through EA Downloader when it first came out, how do i install? I looked for something similar for Ea but couldnt find anything.

I know its a long shot, but try doing a search on the drive you installed the game for the base Crysis folder.

So will Crysis work with W7? Cos it doesn't with my Steam version. Any options I change it crashes, when I go to login to Gamespy it crashes so I cannot play the mod! Crysis Warhead and Wars works fine. Loads of people on the Steam forums are having the same problem.

Anyone have Crysis working ok with W7 64bit on the retail version?

Just had to go into town and get a second hand copy of Crysis, so this better work or I have 2 versions that don't work!!

OK, so what I am hearing is that the steam version is complicated... Should I make it easy for myself and just go buy the cd? Or can I just download from steam and put the mod into the above mentioned folder? Is this complicated or what? Doesn't seem like it would be, but it appears people are having a lot of difficulties. Thoughts?
