You can work around the throttle issue if you have an X52 or X52pro by asigning the throttle as "bands" and then mapping the bands as keypress from your num pad(num pad keys are percent throttle by default).

I've gotten my joystick fire buttons to work, the problem is I will fire a weapon 1 time and when it recycles it will fire again without the button being pushed - is it on release or on hold that will fix that?

NarDog: There are two commands for firing (both in the 'vehicle' section): "Fire_Group#" and "Stop_Fire_Group#". Both functions need to have the same keys mapped in order to work properly.

Check the first post in the thread for a more detailed explanation on setting up joystick mapping for firing groups.

For sliders on joysticks use in actionmap "slider_1" or "slider2".

a simple hint, you can reverse axis with setting a inv before the command like "inv_joyaxis_x"

and the Aruins_example_actionmaps is my actionmap for the cyborg Evo joystick

lol lame, I was gonna try that but I have the same joystick  :'( maybe I'll give it a shot anyway. if it doesn't work I guess I can install the logetech software and see if I can assign keypad keys to the band.

EDIT: I just looked at your actionmap. for land vehicles you have forward and backward mapped to your X axis not your slider

Quote
action name="v_moveforward" onPress="1" onRelease="1" retriggerable="1">
   <key name="w"/>
   <key name="joyrot_x"/>

maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place but if this is the case maybe you just forgot to save?

 <action name="SetThrottleval">
   <key name="slider_2"/>
   <key name="slider_1"/>
  </action>

I also can't get the slider working. it shows up as slider_0 in the joystick.exe and has input from -1000 to 1000

it works with joyrot_z (when you twist the stick).

Another question how do we get the rudder control like the a/d Roll for aero space on twist. Can we connect the roll to joyrot_z?

THANKS! ARUIN!

Ok, i see whats wrong. There's a minor bug in the slider function. Sorry you must wait for an update, i will try to fix it the next days. We had no time to test the slider function so much:)
