Medal of Honor: Airborne

Demo out as of today.
I've been playing the one level (SP only) more than I should since downloading.
It's great. I love it. I can't wait for the full game to be released.
It sticks to many good MoH traditions yet has some interesting new inventions:
- good story (whoever said "WW2 is dead as a shooter setting" is proven wrong by this game), told in well made cutscenes
- bullets and BOOM almost everywhere
- getting experience actually helps, you get 3 'unlocks' per weapon the more kills you rack up; those unlocks give you better accuracy, less recoil, larger clips etc.
- soldiers yelling, screaming, shouting
- this time, you can indeed get (almost) everywhere - wow, you'd never believe how large a fairly small city area can be

So far, this looks very promising. I tend to think this might be my favorite shooter of 2007. Those still to come will either have to come up with really excellent storylines for SP or extremely appealing MP.

Love the SP very fun and cool effects...also like the fact that you get dropped onto the battlefield and choose where you want to land.

also, if you can drop on an enemy, use your melee key and you will do an insta kill by kicking them in the head.

hahaha that's excellent...took me a few tries but i got it and that's awesome! This is definetly worth a download to play the demo guys...they also do a VERY good job on the motion blur effects for fast movement in addition to the constant fighting going on all around you...really makes you feel like you are part of a bigger war...try this out since any body that likes FPS will enjoy the SP of this game very much.

Honestly if i compare it to bioshock...unfortunately i have to say MOH is better...its just more fun where bioshock feels more...bleak and creepy where this is in your face and hardcore.

I've beaten both Bioshock and MoHA, and I'd have to say that MoHA was more fun for me.  Bioshock was a good game with some interesting points of play but it just moved too slow for me.  Also, I was really hoping to be scared a lot and I never was.  It failed to compare to games like F.E.A.R.

MoHA single player is loads of fun all the way until completion.  The multiplayer, while fun, leaves much to be desired.  Hopefully all of these issues will be fixed in a patch soon:

1.  You can't change your name.  You must use your EA name (which for everyone is something rediculous).  You cannot add clan tags to your name.

2.  There are no dedicated servers.  This will be changed the week of the 17th.

3.  There are only 6 maps, and all are respawn-oriented.  None share the one-death experience CS brings.

There are some other, smaller problems, but those aren't nearly as important as the three mentioned above.

EA has always been known for their awsome community support with the MoH series.........
If their just going to give the finger to the on line players as usual then im not going to give them my money, its as simple as that.
Its sad realy, MoH:AA was an awsome multyplayer game(CKR), but i think that was even just a matter of chanse, not desine. They never bothered to include any form of anti-cheat and the patches were pathetic.
Having to use your EA member name is far, far beyond moronic and it kinda proves to me they have absolutly no regard for their community. I have absolutly no reason to think that any of the problems with ABs MP problems will be fixed given their track record.
One night at a kon, I sang karekoi with Richard Epcar. And no, you cannot possibly understand how awsome it was. http://www.richardepcar.com/
