No particular cause that I can see. My game crashes to desktop with no error messages. Seems to happen more frequently on servers with a lot of players and less frequently on those with a few.
Sometimes I get a feeling that more crashes occur while using adv optics zoom.
Some crashes appear just before joining a server just after everything is loaded.

Upon startup everything seems fine, This continues until I try to either modify a setting or login to my gamespy account. When I try that, the screen freezes for a moment, the game crashes to desktop and there are no errors present.  Game.log shows nothing.

I had a previous working version that was installed from a friends cd copy, I was getting odd crashes here and there and decided to buy it through EA and download/install my own copy so a no cd crack would be necessary.  I removed the original install, deleted all the folders and restarted before installing the EA copy.  Now I haven't been able to get past the login.

Every time.

Dunno why, but the crashes got less frequent for me . .
Maybe it's something on the server side of things . . as i got to play constantly for hours on end on one specific server.

I have noticed that on servers with high playercounts and high lag I am much more likely to crash. This usually happens shortly after I spawn, while walking down the ramp to the mech bays

Low ping/ playercount servers are much more stable for me but I do still crash, usually when in combat.

Well on most servers the ping is too high to really play but it doesn't always crash even with a high ping.

after about 20 minutes "crysis has stopped working" and game stops (before beta1 hotfix)

after about one and a half rounds "crysis has stopped working" (after beta1 hotfix)

rarely crash with forcing dx9 and setting graphics to low quality (after beta1 hotfix)

super rare crashes with forcing dx9 and setting graphics to low quality (after 0.1.0 patch)

also use with Deskscapes animated wallpaper causes a almost instant crash

infrequent seeminglly random crashes to desktop with forcing dx9 and low quality graphics (after 0.2.0 patch)

game play lasts about 50-60 minutes then crash to desktop, forced dx9 and high qualitity graphics (after 0.3.0 patch)

game play lasts about a hour than a crash to desktop, forced dx9 using mwll launcher (after 0.3.1 patch)

yes, 20 players seems optimal using dx10

yes, 32 players with small lag using dx9

yes,32 players, alot smoother game play with 32 players (after 0.3.1 patch)

after about 20 minutes, seems to crash faster when on a server with more than 20 players.(before beta1 hotfix)

after about 2 hours with 32 players.(after beta1 hotfix)

rarely crash using beta hotfix and dx9 (after beta1 hotfix)

after about 4 hours with 32 players with decent ping 60 to 100.(after 0.1.0 patch)

after about a hour to two hours randomly crashes to desktop (after 0.2.0 patch)

High player count, action in general.  Hiding in the corner will still crash the game, but after a few hours.  Intense gameplay speeds it up...memory leak?

The game freezes about one minute, then after click or keyhit it crashes to desktop with no error messages. Seems to happen most the time on servers with a lot of players, less frequently on servers with about 8 players. Sometimes I get a feeling that more crashes occur after making some changes in the options menu.
Less crashes when joining a map in loading screen (joining server), 90% crash playing on a server till map ends followed by mapchange.

Yes and its... wait a minute.. AAWWSOME!

hm sometimes it crashes 5 times in a row trying to join a server or right after joining

Yesterday I played US servers with a ping around 250-300 and crashed every game (mainly in high player servers but also in low number servers).  Today I played a couple of hours straight on an Aussie server with a ping of 80 without a single crash.  I might add that this was a 10 player max server so that would have helped.

i think the VRAM is a problem
if i set graphic settings to very high, i got about 1000-1100mb vram usage right at the start
it increases constantly, if it reaches about 1400mb the game crashes

if i set graphics so low i get about 800mb vram usage, it climbs and crashes at about 1400mb usage -> but i can play longer as it takes longer to reach 1400mb

first time Ive installed game - crashes every 5 minutes... next day I completly reinstalled entire Crysis with "Run as administrator", changed "Owner" parameter of Crysys folder to "Grinnin" , added it to exceptions list of antivirus, added -dx9 to shortcut, deleted Shaders folder from My Games, set "Run as administrator" parameter to Crysis.exe, Sound settings changed to "Low"... well, now I can play with only one-two crashes/hour  

also there are many errors in log-files from Crysis folder, just like this:
