I just installed v5.4 and I don't see anyone on the server list. Is this mod dead?

Not at all.

Make sure you don't have any filters set. Also try and sort the list by players, might make it easier to see the servers that do have people playing.

no filters set, i am not getting a single server. But I do get a message at the beginning screen saying that the mod was opened wrong and was supposed to be like -mwll or something. I am running it from steam instead of the MWLL launcher. The launcher seems to freeze on me, but loading it from the crisis wars mod loader menu seems to work. Where am I going wrong? Also, after every update I got an error saying "failed to delete downloaded files, manually delete if needed" or something along those lines.

You can't load MWLL from the Crysis Wars mod loader menu. That's why you're not getting any servers.

Try using the launcher again and giving it some time, to make sure if it's actually freezing or not. Also, you may need to disable any antivirus you have running, as some has been known to cause issues with MWLL.

As for the downloaded files, they are located in My Documents/My Games/Crysis Wars/MWLL/Updates
