VTOL Axis mapping question.
« on: August 18, 2011, 07:01:33 AM »
Hello everyone,

I'm trying to map my roll function to mouse X and my yaw to keys "A" and "D" but it tells me "analog control only" when i attempt to do so in the action mapper.  How can I overcome this?

I think there's a separate "roll left" and "roll right" function in there, since I've managed to bind mine just fine to individual keys.

Yes, it should be possible to do by setting the buttons to the individual turn left and turn right placements, otherwise if it's giving you an error it's a bug that should be reported.

Where the "m" and "x" are you need to leave whatever the default setting was, not blank.  you change the setting below it.

Well, if it tells you to create a new actionmaps because some stuff is missing in your current one, that's probably what you should do. ;)
If at first you don't succeed try again, and if you don't try again, you'll be hit in the face with a shovel!

Hey guys,

I really appreciate your patience.  Here is a youtube video that tries to implement everything I can think of and tries to use your advice.

Mute the audio, I did it in the office and its just background noise I forgot to take out.

BTW Twinkletoes, I really enjoyed fighting in your star last night, that CGauss Scat is fun :)

those "action missing" bits indicate to me you're not using the latest version of the actionmapper (v0.3.10) because those were deprecated a short while back, I'm guessing it failed to update at the last tools update (or perhaps you haven't been using the launcher which would detect an update to the tools).  You can download the latest version of the actionmapper independently as a workaround in case something went wrong with the update:

download here:  http://sourceforge.net/projects/actionmapper/files/Distribution/
