Alright. So I have crysis 1.21 installed with steam, and MWLL in the correct place, and followed the 4 big steps for the actionmaps.xml exactly. I can load up the game(with the MWLL Launcher.exe OR load up crysis and change mods to MWLL), I can connect to a server online, and join, and chat with people, but:
MY ISSUE: It seems nightvision works(default I), teams selection works(default M), and jumpjets kinda work. I can sometimes press and hold it fully, sometimes it will do nothing, other times it will sputteron/off. I can use the direction keys, ONLY while using jumpjets, and its just to move forward, back, left or right - no turning. Mouse movements does nothing too.
I am running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit, but running the 32-bit crysis/MWLL. like I said, the game loads fine, I can create a crysis game and play through it, and also join an online MWLL multiplayer game, and even chat with people online. And i followed THESE STEPS EXACTLY:
1) Beta Testers - after installation, copy the file "example_actionmaps_for_joystick.xml" (EVEN IF YOU DONT USE JOYSTICK) - done.
2) Paste this file to your Crysis profile found in - My Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles - done
3) You will have to paste to both profiles (if you have another one besides the default Crysis) - (I only have the default)
ensure you do this in both the default and YOUR PROFILE directory
My Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles\default\actionmaps.xml
My Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles\Criminal\actionmaps.xml
4) Finally delete your old "actionmaps.xml" and rename the copied "example_actionmaps_for_joystick.xml" to "actionmaps.xml"
Like I said, I'm running win 7 64-bit ultimate - my directory structure is as follows:
MWLL DIR:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\crysis\Mods\mwll
I tried making a new profile, that still has same issue, as well as multiple gamespy accounts (old and brand new)
actionmaps.xml DIR:
C:\Users\wangmauler\Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles\wangmauler\actionmaps.xml
and
C:\Users\wangmauler\Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles\default\actionmaps.xml
some help would be awesome. I really want to test out this game. there is already youtube videos, and It looks so fun.
