Ba vs....well anything on the ground
« on: December 29, 2009, 11:13:54 PM »
I find it hard to blast BA to complete ape shit, in any type of mech which does not host flamers or machineguns. Is it the lag......(no its not my aiming, i track them to their highest flight point, wait for their 2 sec delay to jump then smash, lasers, Rac, AC into their puny bodies...but nothing...mostly. OFc i have the convient wow time when they splat, but their health stays completely 100% when 100 rounds of shells hit around them etc..

I have the simplist attitude that even armored battlesuits would suffer shrapnel damage from exploding ammo around them.....I find it "curious" (refraining from choice words) when my 4 PPC assault mech gets slowly but surely wittled away even if i focus on said BA.

I dunno, anyone else with these problems.....I find it hard to believe that BA solo would stand any chance against a fully equipped mech. I the stories i always read a BA squad was dangerous, but solo they were fleas to be trod upon.

Dunno, maybe a lag issue......LBX does solve the problem, but its costly if ppl understand the meaning. ;D

It's probably the lag, I'm a fan of the LBX solution too ;D

BUT SRMs dumb fired tend to smash those guys to bits too.

Pulse lasers are a death sentence to BA pilots.

Try swatting one with a large pulse and you'll see what I mean... they just kinda go POOF!

If you don't have the best weaponry for killing a BA sometimes it's best to eject and take them on in your own BA.  Anyway if you are rolling in a heavy mech BA damage really doesn't do much to you just go near some allies and have them swat the fly.

The 100% Health is a bug, I think.
Even if you use something dealing low damage (LBL, MS) their health is always 100%, even if you hit. They just suddendly die even though their Health was 100% 1 bullet before.

Depends on the BA's equipment. A BA carrying a PPC, AC2 and infernos can easily tear of an arm of your heavy/assault if ignored completely. Or they cut through you back armor and you go boooom while trying to run away ^^

I enjoy gauss rifling them in mid air.  PPCs have good splash as well.

BA have one Usual AC2 and one Rotary AC.
Also, SRM's, PPC's Infernos. They are fapping Dangerous!

I love my Infernos.
Fly over an enemy mech/tank and drop some onto them, heavy damage and maybe a shutdown guaranteed.
They work great against enemy BA, too.
