I've got the soundtracks for MW2, MW2: Mercs, MW3, MW3: PM, MW4, and MC2.

Always been a fan of good video game music.  The original MW2 music is the best in my eyes for back then, but it takes 2nd place today, right behind the soundtrack for Halo 3: ODST, which is freakin amazing!

I had to rip my Mechwarrior 2 CD's once this mod came out. Glad I did.

I'm usually happy with shuffle, though I'll skip a song or two if it's appropriate.

I also have the Interstate 76 soundtrack (another game that needs a reboot) which I don't use for Mechwarrior LL for obvious reasons. Though I suppose no one said Mechs can't get funky.

The Command and Conquer soundtracks can work about 50% of the time as well.

I have to say though that the MW2 soundtrack still does exactly what it was supposed to do 15 years ago. Provide a ton of atmosphere.

Honestly I think what frogjedi4 calls "Mech Startup" (soundtrack video 2) would work for Sandblasted or Inferno.

The only sound bites I remember from mechwarrior 2 is Betty.

You are referring to the mw3_powerup. It IS my startup/logon sound for Windows :D

It would be a nice touch. An ode to MW3.

You know what, this was the exact song I was thinking of, and exactly the kind of map that it matches. Awesome. Now you just need maps/missions where you have to walk what feels like a million miles between waypoints across landscape like that to match the MW2 feel perfectly.

Also, I'm definitely using that startup sound bite, BUT Storm_Crow is right, the one from MW2 is slightly different. In my opinion, better, but that is of course due to sentimental value.

I LOVE the mech2 music. It is very well done and fit perfectly. It was a way better style and gave you a very alien feeling, like your exploring an undiscovered planet (or so you think ;)) Here is the whole mw2 soundtrack for your listening pleasure. Its the clans version of mw2.

Well just give us a way to put a single looping song onto each map and we can do it manually with our own, personally owned cd's.  ;)

Cheers Kalon!  You just saved me the trouble of digging out the CDs and ripping them myself.  :)

Seems the score differs considerably from the original PC tunes.
