« on: January 07, 2010, 06:36:11 AM »
<S>

For anyone interested, I have come up with a working setup for the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro that includes Throttle and POV control.

Nice!  I wonder if this will work for the Freedom 2.4?  They are similar sticks.

If you're using this method do you have to launch MWLL from the profiler software, or is it supposed to just pick up the profile when the .exe launches?

I copied actionmaps.txt (renamed .xml) to the Profiles/[profile name] dirs and imported your MWLL profile, but I can't get any response from the joystick.
If I try to launch it from the profiler it doesn't let me put in the "-mod mwll" part so it just launches vanilla Crysis...

I think it just might.  It looks as though the same profiler is used for that stick as well.  The version number is the same, and it is the same size...wouldn't hurt to try it eh?

BTW Zweistein000 was able to get it going, and he decided to not use my action map, and it works fine he says.

You can launch without it so long as you have it running in the background.  That is strange it launches into Crysis like that.  I suppose you could point the profiler to the shortcut that you have and see if that will work.  It should.

As far the the stick not responding, I would go into the devices menu in profiler, check to see that you have a default device selected, then go into game controller section also in the device menu and check to see how it is working in properties.

The stick is recognized properly by the profiler software and registers when buttons are pressed. If I go into Game Controllers in Vista Control Panel it's seems to be working properly  ???

I'll try fiddling around some more with the profiler software... What joystick.cfg are you using (or does it matter with this method)?

Haven't had any luck at all with configuring my joystick since the mod came out, and it's really killing my enjoyment of the game :-\

I can launch from the profiler, but I have the same problem otherwise. Absolutely no response from the JS, buttons, axis nothing works.

And it is selected in the profiler, windows device manager sees it, and the joystick config thing that comes with LL sees it.

Hey Santini, I feel your pain bro  :'(

I'm getting better with the mouse + kb piloting mechs, but it's just not the same. And I can't even go near aerospace/vtols...

Hopefully the joystick support will progress along with the beta.

Well, it's not too big of a deal to me. When BK came out was when I started playing online and I played several hours every day. And I tend to get a little intence and not realize how much pressure I'm putting on the JS. I was going through one like every three months :)

I couldn't afford that so I had to teach myself to play KB/M. So now I can do either one, but I still prefer the JS.
