Leers suggestions would fix my personal issues with BA completely.  It would really smooth out the gameplay and make BA feel more like a choice you have to make to be truly effective.  I really hope some of those ideas get put in!  ;D

OK, extremity is going clearcut.
i just crashed from a match where the other team not even tried to get anything else but BA.
all tricked out of course.
Man Pack PPC needs to get a longer reload cycle and jumpjets need to get a longer reload cycle too.
Even with a ping below 50 and RAC's and multiple UAC's and LB-X's it was more or less impossible to get rid of them.
And then one of them had the glorious idea to get a TAG and someone else got to be LRM-Partisan at the base.
And then they waited at the mountain. On extremity i can live with BA's being powerfull, because that's their terrain.
But not if it goes on to other maps too.

True - Leers weapon strip works as well.

Though I still llike the choose it, ride it till it dies, no ejecting scenario.

No self respecting clan mech pilot would ever eject!   :P

@ Stahlseele, I'd have used Aeros to attack their base or drop a few bombs around the BA, did anyone try that?

Agreed times eleventy. I realise lag is largely out of the teams hands though.

@Mekabuser - should I have to take a mech with MGs/ACs every single time because i know for certain ill be facing a BA when i defeat a mech? This is what I end up doing at the moment and i dont like it. If leers stuff is implemented, ill at least be able to use the large handful of mechs/vehicles i avoid at the moment. It will still be a risk that ill face 1 or more BA, but not a certainty.

  • Reintroduce the APC and heavy VTOL transports to move assets around maps and retrieve downed "pilot" BA

If you're going to stip BA of all their weapons, Have the VTOL transports act as flying spawn points. Then the BA can jump out of the transport and land right in the thick of it. The VTOL pilot can be rewarded by getting credit for everyone who spawns at it.
