Bear with me - I want to play with all the toys before leaping head-first in-game. In regular Crysis you could change a parameter to make your starting money 10000bajilliion whatever... only I don't remember how to do that, or if it'd even work.

So- there. How can I make my starting money (in a LAN server, durr) 'a lot' so I can play with all the stuff and familiarize myself?

Start a Lan server open Console and type this in it:

con_restricted 0
g_pp_scaleratio 0

And everything is now for free.

Ahh ok theres some issues on crysis forum about Vista, Win7 and HID devices being able to use the ~ key in crysis.

I execute these commands and still get no effect.
It's like:
con_restricted 0
> CON_RESTRICTED = 0 [RESTRICTED MODE BLAH BLAH..]
g_pp_scale_income 100
> g_pp_scale_income = 1 []  (yeah, empty brackets)
g_pp_scale_price 0
> g_pp_scale_price = 1 [] (the same stuff)
sv_restart
> game restarts and nothing happens also

Please, pardon my being so eager - but could someone please help me with this problem? The thing is we don't have internet connections above dialup here, but we want to try out all the tech soo much...

Try starting a local Test of Strength game mode.  It will give you 200,000 C-Bills to start with, more than enough to buy any choice of vehicle.

Unfortunately I have only SA_ and original Crysis maps in rotation menu. I would really love to know what's going on and why is my step-by-step installation differs so much from what it should be according to different manuals. >_<

You can also rape base turrets for points - after killing them all, dump your ride outside the enemy hanger and swap teams.

Then kill the empty vehicle/mech before it despawns, then proceed to repeat with the other base.

Takes a while, but you can get enough points to try everything out.

SA Maps are also setup for Test of Strength when choosing the proper Game Mode.

Ok, seems like I have to pass a sanity test..
"let's do it aver from the start once again" I thought. So:
1) Install Crysis
2) Patch it to 1.2.1 (shows build 1.1.1.6156)
3) Extract MWLL-OpenBeta1.rar to d:\Games\Crysis
4) Check:
 4.1. "con_resctricted" and "g_pp_scale_price" work fine
 4.2. There are 4 game modes available when creating a listen LAN game server
   - Trial of Annihilation
   - Solaris Arena
   - Power Struggle
   - Instant Action
 4.3. Trial of Annihilation has no available maps at all, Solaris Arena has 5 SA_ maps, other modes have original Crysis maps
5) Extract MWLL-OpenBeta-Patch-0.1.0.rar owerwriting the "Mods" folder contents
6) Check (almost the same as part 4 )
 6.1. "con_resctricted" and "g_pp_scale_price" don't work at all (see previous posts)
