Playing MWLL on Tunngle
« on: January 14, 2010, 08:33:26 PM »
For everyone having trouble with internet games:
I have requested a public room for MWLL on Tunngle (a free VPN client that simulates a LAN environment. Like Hamachi, but new and - to put it bluntly - much better, faster and focused on gaming)...and the wish has finally been granted!

http://www.tunngle.net
D/L, register and search the rooms via the community button.

See you there!

I dont have any connection problems but i tried this out of curiosity as i have used hamachi a lot in MW4

I have to give it 10/10

It installed really easily on Win7 x64 with no issues, there only was one server being hosted but it showed up in MWLL Local games (LAN) and i connected with good ping

So yes i think this will solve a lot of peoples problems if they currently cannot connect

For most people it runs excellent but almost every day there is at least one new guy with a problem to connect. That's a known Crysis/Gamespy issue quite a few people had, Tunngle or not.

Before playing on Tunngle or Hamachi, you will need to go to Multiplayer->Internet and create and/or log into account. After loggin in leave internet games and then head straight to Multiplayer->LAN and join a server.
You will need to do this every time you start MWLL anew: Start game, MP->Internet to login, then MP->LAN

For a few people the ridiculous Gamespy login offers another problem: They either have to create a new account each time to play or they get a wrong email/password error upon logging in, no matter what they try.

Read these threads for a cure:

(Basically, it's all about either creating the account on the webby or creating 2 identical accounts, but better read for yourself)

EDIT: most people with latter problem stated the third of these threads was the most helpful.

Guys, I can confirm, installing tungle easy as hell, and no hassle like the 16 player limit as in case of hamachi, inactive players reserving the slots etc.

Also, the people online was helpful - in the built in tungle chat I got help immediately.

I just installed the game and the mod, and could play for a couple hours - even if I died frequently :)

Thumbs up!

Cmon, leave hamachi and give a try for tungle! :)

I agree.. Tunngle just rocks... easy to install and use... and since some ppl have dedicated servers running (e.g. Velvet) there's always the opportunity to have a good fight...
So come on, join the fun since I believe the motto is: the more, the merrier!

Velvet seems to partake in an almost unhealthy relish for fresh meat....

I just tried this myself; initially had some connection problems, but velvet/thiebault walked me through them.  Tunngle is fantastic thus far.

Tested it and works great! Better than fapp Hamachi and the best way to play without Cd Key!
