Yeah, you guys are new so... Maybe they'll let this one slide, but just for future reference, never ask for a release date.
They'll unleash Pugsley on you and you don't want that.
Boy, you don't want that :o

I've been lurking on the boards for over a year so i know what the Dev's line is. It a little homage to Blizzard and their usual "soon" respnose to pretty much anything regarding patches.  :P

The numbers of 0.1.0 is represented by our way of marking the major and minor updates.

The first digit is represented as the main version number. Since we are not satisfied in calling our game 1.0 and kept with the label of beta (since high number stress testing is required and we thank the community for helping :)), we will continue to have this number until we release with all of our promised features (Claw, Air Transports, Mech Lab, New Game modes ect.)

The second number is the major updates. Full of both Content and code updates that help both gameplay and add new features, along with code changes to help stabilize and optimize play experience. Many more of these will come before 1.0

The third is the hot fixes that relate to the updates. If we find a significant problem with the update, we will work on immediate fixes which will most likely be code related to solve the problematic issues for that release. These hotfixes will not modify the gameplay nor the balance of the current update. If there is a new update after a hotfix, this number will be cleared back to "0" as the major update will already have the latest code.

So instead of  "0.1.0", think of it as "Beta.Update 1.No Current Hotfix"

Now, The Mech Lab on the other hand... This will require some time for us to get this going, but rest assured you will see it in the coming months :). "Soon" is a good term and I will hold to it since it is a good term to hold onto to. Everyone remembers the mistake in calling "Winter 2008" the release date. I don't wish to repeat the same mistake in making unrealistic promises. However, I can promise you will see it "Soon" ;).

I reckon the MechLab will be a High Risk release, because it it will be devilishly hard to balance against the various configs that could be custom created.

There will be some restrictions on how you can customize your mech. You can only fit weapons if you have tonnage, cash and pod space on your chassis.

see this video for an example.

I didn't realise you were putting so much thought and effort into pods and weapon attachment.

Very cool - well done!

I have never EVER seen an efficient awesome being used, sure you got no ammo but you need to use coolant every time you friggin fire meaning you'll quickly run out of coolant and be completely useless. It never overheated so drastically in MW4/MW2, i remember being able to get off 2 volleys without overheating but staying in the red line. The awesome needs to have either a shitload more HS's or heat needs to be toned down because i dont remember BT lore being filled with people bailing out of their mechs continually due to heat--true they always complained about the heat but it was never so extreme that the mech shut down.

What Awesome are you using? Use chain fire, and be patient. The awesome is more or less a very well armored long range support 'mech. I wouldn't try to charge into any close quarters situations with it. Keep your distance and manage your heat, you'll score some kills in it. It may not suit your playstyle, but it is a fairly effective 'mech.

Yeah, I use the 4xPPC Awesome regularly.  I chain fire, I hang back, and I balance the engine speed against the frequency of firing.

If the Pod-Space is there, switch out the PPC's for ER Large Lasers for example.
Or if it fits some kind of gauss rifles. Or AUTO CANNONS.
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'
