Yeah thats just the thing the awesome needs to stand completely still and fire its weapons at such a low rate that even light mechs with the same weapons can fire off more volleys. I did more damage with a puma prime then an awesome because i could fire off my PLP's without overheating and i could maneuver instead of standing still and becoming a walking beacon for every single LRM boat.

you need to learn to handle heat Arghy. just tapping the cooland is enough to get you out of auto shut down and either chaining or only using 2 of the LPL's is enough to keep you going alot longer than firing all of them off. If you like beam based mech heat is there to keep you in check. Beam weapons are devastating in almost every way (no ammo, pin point dmg high accuracy, high dmg and with ER's long range) So they are kept balance with heat. Its the way its always been and will be.

There will be some restrictions on how you can customize your mech. You can only fit weapons if you have tonnage, cash and pod space on your chassis.

see this video for an example.

What do mean by pod space? Is it the number of pod mount locations?

Will some other restrictions include missile only, energy only or ballistic only pod mount locations?

Awesome is an Energy Platform.... geez. Omni mechs will only be able to "hot swap" things like that.

I also want to know the answer to Outlaw's questions, they are intriguing.
