Aw I don't mind, if you're banged up enough to die before you can kill the pilot the fight was pretty close and he did what he had to to beat you.
If all you got is twin Gauss, your fault for taking a boat.
I love the times when I eject at the last possible second and they actually are so worried about killing me as the pilot I'm able to fight with them long enough to have a teammate destroy them, at which point I just get back in my mech and limp off to base, I usually make it and its hilarious. Unless I am truly banged up I will always finish the mech first and either run away leaving the pilot behind or back off as I know its about time for him to eject as to get a good sniping position.
Only problem I have with BA is when I'm in a really slow tank, but I expect to be in trouble in that situation.

My main issue it that if you do have twin gausses, and you attack a mech, which they are effective against, how is it your fault that that mech turns into a flying ant with a PPC?

If you choose your battles so that you have the upper hand, why can your opponet turn the tables with a simple press of the F key?

I just love when you see your enemy have one of those "Oh SH**" moments.

I was on a game of frostbite, and the opponent was doing a lot of radar off fighting, and I was getting kills against them in my Uller.

But I kept getting "surprised" by them (I was a better pilot, but they were playing the better radar game IMHO).

Anyway, So I went back to base and I bought a Mauler with Dual AC20 and stayed behind a hill.

All the sudden a radar off enemy comes face to face to me and I could see his mech start to make those "I MUST TURN AND RUN AWAY" Panic moments.

He was going "OMFG I just found a mauler!" Then he thought "OMFG I _JUST_ found a MAULER!"

It was hilarious, he died before he could get fully turned around to run away.

I hate Aircraft in this game, if I die from one, I leave.  I wish I could just fire back at them from a Mech.

I wish I had this recorded, but alas, you'd have to take my word for it.

Thunder Rift: 3 friendlies are pinning down a Bushwacker Prime behind a piece of cover on one of the upper pathways, with a column reaching up towards the roof. I was in the water pathway running along side the upper pathway, when I notice the Bushwacker is pinned in cover, with no line of sight to my GECM-equipped UAC20 Shadowcat. I run up close to the wall, and hit the jump jets, flying up and over the wall of the path and just over and behind the head of the Bushwacker. Now mind you, the Bushwacker was already damaged, maybe orange/yellow across the torso. Anyways, I sail over behind it, whip on my radar, and twist in mid air to land my first shot against his torso as I came down. At this point, the Bushwacker is like "wtf mate" and is turning to face me. 3 more shots across the torso finished it off, while I took almost no damage.

It was cool, and a nice change of pace from the usual sniperfest most games turn into.

@ Zeus - Freaking awesome game tonight/today. Had a blast when we teamed up as the "hammer bros", and only slightly less of a blast when we were forced to square off. I know when I've met my superior, and you trounced me every time we 1v1'd. Your targetting is really impressive!

For those that want some insight, Zeus and myself teamed up for some great early kills on marshes, and realizing a mutual love for the Warhammer Prime, we doubled up on em, and set out on a fox hunt. It was a blast, quite literally for our hapless targets (sorry guys!).

I had one of those moments you usually hear from others but never really expect to experience yourself.

After accidentally ejecting from my Tbolt Sulla, I was goofing around as BA taking potshots at mechs around my landing spot.
After a couple minutes I managed to sneak up on a Catapult B, and focused on trying to kill it.
Coming up from the front I managed to avoid the guys Mguns and used my JJs to get around behind him, all the while poking at him with my BA small laser and SRMs.

After chasing the guys for a minute or so, the pilot ejected, thinking he would take me out as BA.
Boy was he in for a surprise.
Only seconds after the guy ejected I came up behind the mech with my JJ's and on pure reflex hit the button to enter the mech, effectively capturing the enemy mech right in front of the guys nose.

Now this is when I had one of my personal jaw drop moments.
The enemy BA just landed in front of me right in the middle of my sights.
On pure reflex I fired the mechs Mguns, making short work of the enemy BA.

Felling extremely satisfied with myself I brought the enemy mech back to the hangar for repairs and rearming, and brought it to bear on my enemies.

Its one of those moments you just wish you had a video of to show everyone.

I do this a lot, it's so satisfying. I did it once in the 0.2.0 Hollander B, with the single Heavy Gauss Rifle. The pilot bailed as I was pounding his cockpit with my handheld AC/2. I immediately tap my Enter key. The pilot lands infront of the mech, right in time for me to fire a washing machine sized slug at his face.

I finally had an event that I wish to share;

On sand blasted as clan BA. I was hiding in the boulders at the center drop off between the two pyramids when an undamaged catapult ran off the drop off heading straight for my assembling team. I JJed up and started unloading everything i had into him.  Through no effort on my part I landed between the right missile launcher and the RT torso. I start firing my MBLaser on recycle into the CT. I am completely juiced watching this untouched catapult CT go from green to red.

Meanwhile the catapult is running around JJing to try and knock me off. For whatever reason I am truly lodged between right missile launcher and the torso and will not be moved. I see the catapult's team mates standing around watching this bucking bronco and they can't get a bead on me because of where I am and they don't want to TK their guy at the beginning of their offensive.

It was either the beer and my maniacal laughing or that this had never happened to me but I kept drilling out the CT and when the catapult was finally destroyed and gave it's little death fire and whatnot I blew up too.  :) I really didn't care at that point. I was loving it. It made my day.

Later that evening my home hot water heater blew out and made a huge mess but the whole time I was cleaning it up I was thinking of what my little BA had done.  :) Glorious.

I don't think I'll ever forget the time I sniped BlueOrb off the top of a moving Harasser with two Heavy Gauss slugs from my Shiva. He was standing on it as BA, and I was aiming for the Harasser, and it just happened... we both laughed pretty hard. ;D

Well, under MWLL 010, basically being a tanker was memorable enough . .
Especially seeing how i ruled entire servers with my trusty Quad AC5 Partisan ^^
Last month or so, i got killed again and again by 3 enemy mechs in my Tank of choice . .
Untill i had enough Money for a Huey Prime. I told them i had enough and proceeded to Blast their cockpits off one after the other in the time span of 30 seconds.
They got a lot more carefull after that one ^^
'any kind of discussion of randomness ALWAYS WILL EQUATE to being able to critically hit a mech's reactor by firing a micro beam laser while facing 80 degrees to the side, shooting the ground, which would cause a random explosion which would randomly crit his entire team's reactors which would randomly cause the server itself to explode which would randomly generate a strange quark which would randomly hit the earth and randomly randomness randomfapp the shit fapp random!'

I didn't even think to get a screen shot..  My son came running. He knows when daddy is laughing while playing his mech game something crazy is happening.

I have a feeling I have been a victim of friendly fire. It's my fault for wanting to hug the enemy Madcat in the middle of a fire fight.

Hahaha. He caught both slugs?
Do I sense operation human shield commencing? =)

Seriously though, very gutsy to stand on a moving harasser to begin with. Guess that used up whatever luck that little battle armour had.

I have a feeling I have been guilty of friendly fire in cases just like the one you describe. Especially if I'm in a warthog. I charge in with my teammates and start firing, then with the warthog being a bit sluggish at times I swing it around to bring the enemy back in my sights, RACs spinning up before I'm really turned around and just as bullets starts flying towards my enemy again a BA comes flying like superman out of nowhere and go splat against my stream of RAC5 bullets.

Trying as I might to avoid this I know I have had rounds where I've killed like 3 friendly battle armours in a row. Somehow that have me torn between wanting to facepalm at my own teamkilling and laugh like mad about the sillyness of the elementals jumping fearlessly at an enemy under heavy fire. =)

I think the fearlessness of some BA have made some lite mech players run scared. That same lite mech will then will then go toe to toe with another mech.

I love it when a heavy mech gets assaulted by 3 or 4 BA. The BA completely distract the heavy mech and he falls victim to another mech.
