Ok, something fresh perhaps,
I joined Clan team on Clearcut, we were loosing like... 1 v 2 in points, it was already half of game behind, so I running AC Partisan wasn't much a threat but after taking down Shiva, hawkmoth and shooting some enemy LRM campers beyond they lock-on range I managed to buy A4 Huilt B.
It was already night and my team base was surrounded by enemy LRM campers - when one of my friendlies nuked in the middle of the map I run as fast as I could (and this wasn't VERY fast) down the hill to the lake and than all the way up the hills on the left of Clan base. From there I could see like... 3 LRM Partisans beyond 1000m - they didn't see me, so I switched to firing 1 Arrow 4 at a time, and destroyed two of enemy units in the first blast. My team was cleaver enough to make use of the chance given and they destroyed the last Partisan while I fired next salvo of A4s towards enemy Shiva - he dodged first missile and went back to the base... just after a moment I saw him disappearing behind the hill there was a bright light approaching from behind and second later - one more kill for me :D
My team pushed forward, till we found enemy camping near their base on the hills - same scenario: LRM boats on the hill, only this time they had mid-mechs guarding. Well, for me it was easy - salvos from beyond their range till their LRMs fall one after another and teammates finished running mechs. One Puma tried to get in range, but when I soften it with two A4s my team blasted it with PPCs and bang... nuke for the end of the game.
We won the match with quite nice points advantage.
:) good day. Hope that they learn that LRM camping isn't always a good tactic on Clearcut.

I jumped onto a vulture the other day and just sat there for a few minutes shooting my little laser gun at his cockpit.  He's like, "Get off of me!"  I didn't really do much by way of damage but when I'm forced to BA I'm just trying to be as annoying as possible until someone shoots me because running back to base sucks!

Map: Clear Cut
Team: Clan
Daycycle: Deep night

Just want to give a shout out to Lieutenant Loco, had a great game with him.  We were calling out sectors to head off advances, and we seem to have telepathic target selection cause we went after the same guy every time. :D

We got out numbered early on 4 to 6 i think but our superior tactics let us build around a 6k lead before the teams evened out.  From then on it was a slug fest.  The other team out started going long range with their tactics and used 1 or 2 harassing mechs to draw us out from behind our cover.

mid to end game was great.  We had the east side of the mountain lock down on clearcut and active air support to keep their aeros and vtols in check.  I grabbed the LBX20 bushwacker and decided to sweep west as quick recon sweep.  This was at night so I had the light amp on, amazing how much that thing doesn't let you see :p.  Passed the little lake when i notice an Uller in passive racing in.  Thinking he was alone, I radioed in the contact and went in for the kill.

I dumped fire into him but he was nimble and that bushy config had NO range beyond 300m :p  Then he surprised me by ramming  straight on and turning on his light!  The screen whited out for a sec which was enough time for his other passive radar buddies to crest the hill and come at me.  Finished off the Uller with a LBX blast turned to confront a Hollander and a Raven.

At this point I'm thinking there's no way i'm gonna last as the radar shows even more red contacts heading towards me.  It was a breakout! The majority of my team was on the east side setup in a siege line when I typed in the break out, precious seconds that I couldn't fire back.  I'm orange and red every where but my legs. I pick the Holly as my target since it's slower, and let loose with everything.  It just soaks up the damage and I can only thankful that it wasn't the Heavy GR or AC20 version.  The Raven's PPC is really messing up my aim as it fries up my reticule.  Then by chance I let loose with an almost point blank LBX shot that rips through the Holly's cock pit and kills the pilot.

But the damage is done.  My back is red and my speed has been cut.  The Raven is all yellow but still still moving at full speed chipping away at what was left of my armor. I recently decided to not eject a mech or tank unless I've lost all my weapons, or I'm out of ammo, so I could die a warriors death ;).  Luckily, instead of shifting to my death camera, Loco sweeps in with his Mauler and blows it to bits.  He's back by several mid and light mechs to  take on the rest of the break out.

Really really epic save right then and showed how even a pull together group with good communication was way more fun than normal.

Map: Sandblasted

I join a game with 1 other person in it, and grab a raven C variant. Soon after another person joins and its 2 vs lil ol' me. So i scouted the map for a long time but came up with little till i ventured north of the clan base. I pick up an uller on radar and watch him until he gets in range of my ppc and then the fight begins. While dipping between dunes i snipe at him with the ppc till his torse is all orange; I then spin around and move in for the kill right as a second uller appears on radar. I move in on the first uller with all speed and land the finishing blow. The pilot ejects, but not soon enough for the uller goes critical and takes out the pilot and heavily damages the other uller. That second uller then is able to take out my raven's right leg so i eject as the uller runs my crippled mech down. As i float down i fire off SRMs and my ppc and watch the second uller go up flames. I then took a peaceful walk back to base and bought another raven =D. Amazing game that one turned out to be...

getting second place in an 80min match on marshes with a 20-3 kdr. I also got 4 mech kills with a BA in that match just using the standard BA loadout, and they weren't just light mechs either :P
my purchass history in that match also ended up going something like this: light mech, light mech, light mech... 6LL Awesome, which i kept using for the rest of the match (40min or so) :D

Just tore apart a Hollander the other night single handedly in a BA, annoyed the hell out of the guy driving the mech, I'd been doing it for the first 20 minutes of the match.  And the fun of when you kill a full health Awesome in a TBolt Sulla, priceless.  Also tore up inferno the other day in a Partisan B (the RAC2 one), killing a few ullers and a catapult, good times!

6v1 yesterday, I was in a scat prime (as usual), had a couple tanks and some higher end mechs (cant remember which exactly).  Took out 4 before they got me.

That's awesome!  What map were you on?

Just remembered another cool thing I did.  I've figured out that, when you fly too high, the game autoejects you from your aero.  I figured this out accidentally when I was typing a message to someone in the chat.  Obviously I was like "well...crap" when it happened, but decided not to give up, so I jetted towards the aero.  Unfortunately I over shot and it fell below me.  I then pointed myself down, jetted, was below it now, readjusted, hit F and I was back in... phew, that was close!  Makes you feel rather cool doing that though  ;D

Sniping aeros/vtols with gauss rifles is a challenge, but rewarding. I've gotten pretty good at it.

Yup, that's something I need to work on myself, I'm usually on the receiving end xD

lol, haven't had that happen in an aero yet...  i usually just loose all control once at 1000 (units) AGL.

was on marshes for my 6v1 escapade

Not to one-up you, but I just got 21-4 in marshes and was SKN.  Started off with the Uller Prime x2, then the UAC20+PPC Shadowcat the entire time.  I think I finally figured out how to use passive radar to hit and run.  I find that Shadowcats play the best against Heavy Mechs with it's mobility.  And is good when your own team has some heavy mechs to engage the enemy while you run around with the Shadowcat in passive.

So fun.  I can't wait until the Uziel comes around.
