Together withQiLin we found out that PPJoy can't be used in Home versions of Windows because those versions don't have Group Policies and they can't be added by hand. I'm really sorry, but thank M$ for that and get the Ultimate Edition (which is better anyways).

Anyways the 0.2.0 patch broke my config and it looks like it's going to be some days before I get my stick working again :(

Meh - what Poldi said...

Let's see if I get hold of a new OS - quite a hassle for a mod - but I LOVE Battletech - and MWLL is as good as it gets!

Oh well, my hopes also lie with Logitech and an updated profiler (a snowballs chance in hell) or maybe the mwll devs somehow manage to incorporate the crysis3 joystick routines...  :o (a snowflakes chance in a core meltdown)

There is a new version of ppjoy coming out that is supposed to incorporate the driver signing workarounds automatically somehow.  Anyway thanks for the help though.  I'm sure it'll work eventually one way or another.

It will include BCDEDIT functionality which won't help in the cases where the manual settings don't work (like mine)

Damned, this thread made me want to get my full CH products HOTAS kit set up again. Problem is that I have recently moved and presently store them at my folks' house, in an entirely different part of the country. Even though a mouse makes it easier to aim it just feels better with hotas. (now if I could add trackir to that it would be even better).

Hello everyone,
thanks to this manual I almost made it to Set up my beloved G940 for MWLL.

First of all let me update the manual a little bit:
The Latest Version of PPJoy will make the necessary configurations to install the driver under an x64 environment for you (Just google for "PPJoy Setup 0.8.4.6 download". Will upload it when I got time)

so Installing shouldn't be so hard anymore.

Now I have following problem:
After I finished setup of PPjoy i tested my configuration with the test joystick tool included with MWLL. Everything looks fine. So I configured my Actionmaps (using the test tool as a help to set up everything correct).
After that I wanted to test my Joystick ingame and... I was only able to use my Joystick. It looks like the Game is not using the correct joystick ID

Troubleshooting that I have done:
I doublechecked the Joystick ID - It is correct (the joystick tool always shows the Joystick on ID 1)
I deactivated the Logitech profiler - no success.

Has anyone an idea what I'm doing wrong?

ID 1 is wrong
ID 1-3 are your G940 parts. If you don't have any other joysticks connected PPJoy should be 4 (in my case its 5 cuz the G13 board has a little stick as well)

I Used a tool to configure the IDs. But the Problem was another one:
After a little chat with Poldi I found out that I had to disable the POV's.

just added these 3 Lines to the Joystick.cfg:

pov_0_disable = 1
pov_1_disable = 1
pov_2_disable = 1

now Its working!
cant wait to drob some firebombs on campers.

when doing that make sure there comes at least one empty line after the entries, because crysis will delete the last line for some reason.

bah, I need PPJOY for my 940 but can't find a download.  Someone on the official ppjoy blog said unless you can find someone to email/upload it you are out of luck =(  Anyone got a copy?

Update:  I found a download that might be legit. I'll let you know how I make out.
