  Is there a thread in this forum to help players find custom maps? That would help. I never see anyone on the servers with those maps and I want to play palisades with a full server.

There aren't much custom maps now afaik. Except palisades, there are SA_Desolation and SA_Paradise. There are discussion threads for this maps somewhere here. Just search the forum.

This thread always bugged me so I'm glad someone revived it to confirm my earlier suspicions.  You'll usually see a pop spike after a patch in a beta.  I'll agree that there seemed to be a ton of people online Sunday.  Very fun.
