I thought I noticed yesterday that the torso twist on my uller was accelerated while crouched.  Is that true?

I haven't noticed any torso speed increase when crouched.

I've already tried some of mechs hinted in here... so thanks for the suggestions.
While driving in small and fast mech... it can be bit tricky to get good aim :D ..... but I tried anyway. I did get few shots before I got killed  :D :D
It's gonna take bit longer to get in next rank from cdt if you get one or two shots at the target before you get killed. But I'm gonna keep learning.

I still have to think about boating... sniping and so on... Now it seems that boating is big no-no, it doesn't matter if you are a noob or not... but sniping seems to more acceptable now than it was in MW4.
But perhaps it's because MW4 was/is bit more arcade type of game than this. This seems to follow battletech rules more accuratly.

Janne - it's because players find boating to be brain-less activity, while sniping at least requires you to have good aim :)

Good luck out there! And don't be afraid to ask other players online - people like to help the new one :) + You will get less spam than here ;)

One good survival tip over all is aiming for arms on other mechs.  Most mechs have their hardest hitting weapons there, so taking them out will increase your survival rate.

on the aiming in fast light mechs, use the num keypad for tiered throttle control, when it's 5-6 you still have movement but the motion is evened out for better aiming.  Slam on the throttle after you've taken your shot though.

Throttlecontrol and turning/torsotwisting and shooting while running is something where I need training.
Keymap is bit odd what I've used to have, and finding right keys under fire is bit nervewrecking  ;D
Once I had to flush coolant and I pressed "eject" :o ::)

I've had a similar experience.  I'm a huge fan of CBT, but I'm terrible at deathmatch/multiplayer PC games.  I started off with a lot of lrm boating just to get comfortable with the controls and get to see what some of the bigger mechs were like.  Once I got a little better at piloting I started branching out to different roles.

One gripe on the Harasser C is that it's a pretty unstable sniping platform.  I wish I could deflate the bag and rest on the chassis to achieve a full stop, even while on an incline (with appropriate deflate/inflate delays).

I've also found that the lag is much worse while brawling.  It's almost like it has it's own, separate, dynamic learning curve that must also be surmounted.  I have a decent rig, and got almost no change in 'brawling lag' between everything maxed out and the lowest settings.  This probably lends to us newbs boating/sniping more too.

janne use any and all methods that you find effective. boating is not a complaint directed towards you or any other beginer.

THere are guys beating up on noobs out there, which is really not honorable IMO.
Even for experienced players ,t his game is difficult in as much as its not uncommon to not even SEE on radar or otherwise your tormentors.
stay on the outskirts of the battle, thats where they stay<after some spectating>
not calling you guys out specifically on this, especially bec the score is close, but it indicates something that I never saw in MW or any other game ive played

Thanks to all those who gave some pointers and hints how to become bit better player. I have taken many of those hints into practice and they sure have made me different player from what I was when i began to play MWLL.
Boating, brawling, sniping whatever... I've used all of those depending on the map and depending when I join the game.
But the more I play this game, more I like it.

MWLL is  quite a deep game especially if you try to become proficient in every piloting area.  Glad you're over the newbie hump!

People do that all the time lol
It helps to learn how to remap the keys, and stick that eject key as far away from everything else as possible LOL

LRMs, while part of the game, will only hinder any chance of you getting better at skilled aspects of the game.  Words of advice:  never use them.
