MWLL Wiki Status Updates

Hey guys,

As we are adding new content to the Wiki and some people may find it hard to find that updated information we will give some forum updates in this post. It will be updated as needed if there are new updates to the wiki that are worth mentioning.

Authors: Keep update post short and clean, make use of the BB code supplied so it's easier to read. Don't post an update on each thing you did, just post more major projects being completed.  Please, don't write what you are going to do, just write what was done.

Forum Members: Please keep this topic clean. No discussions on updates, you can create a new post to discuss things.

Collection of changes:

• Light Mechs added
• Medium Mechs added
• Weapons nearly finished
• Main page updated
• Saitek x52 Joystick Configuration Updated
• Troubleshooting page created

25th-28 February:

• All mechs stats updated for version 0.2.0
• Added info about speed on flat ground and torso rotation for all mechs
• PPJoy configuration added
• Different Weapons list uploaded
• All the mechs missing images were added
• Gauss was the first weapon article with image added as an example. Feel free to add more iconic units using their weapons
• Maintenance templates were created to show what articles are below standards
• Current events page was created to track what's going on at MWLL wiki currently

28th February - 18 March

• All the Mechs are done
• Most of the equipment is described
• Few pages about joysticks were added, most notably the PPjoy configuration guide
• Several gameplay tactics were described
• The wiki got article about itself
• MWLL Basic Guide was created
• The first article about map was created - the Clearcut

And...

• The new Main Page was made
• Theme v.2.0 was completed

• Community Clans and Units started - so far 2 clans are in, the TLL and 1FSAC
• Many updates on Weapons page, new disclaimer
• All Mechs have their Armor value added and the Speed/Torso rotation

• Second EotM selected and an hall of fame was created
• Teamwork guide becomes second guide on the wiki
• †Legacy† joins as 3rd unit described on the wiki
• Reorganization of Battle Armor related articles

• Combat guide is created
• Featuring the 1st Federated Suns Armored Cavalry as the first Featured Article elected by voting
• MWLL Wiki article gets expanded, few new milestones noted
• All Templates has been sorted and gained their own categories
• Welcome template is created, several new members greeted
• All the Vehicles described, images uploaded

• Combat guide completed
• The article about the Dedicated server written, featuring the instructions on how to set it up
• Troubleshooting expanded, faturing various vanilla crysis issues
• MWLL Players Slang guide created
• DarkStar Alliance joins the Community Clans and Units

• All Minimaps uploaded to use in Maps articles
• Templates for ASF and VTOLs created
• New VTOL and Aerospace page, with all images of entities uploaded
• MWLL Flowgraph Nodes described, though still many of them stay as stubs
• Proofreading by Xarg
• MWLL Community Interview begun - members could ask questions, 36 asked by 14 members.

• The Pyrran Merc Unit‎ joins the wiki
• Mechwarrior Living Legends Wiki:Community Interview finished - 36 questions got answered
• Various more or less boring changes. Mostly low activity period

• added Turrets template
• updated Calliope with it
• the rest still needs updates from here

Very good idea. Template could use a line for armor, but aside from that its great.

Going to update the others in a few minutes.

Added the armor to the template and the Calliope. Going to do the other turrets now.

• Every weapon redirect still had the the old page in the "background" from back in the 0.2 days when every weapon had its own page instead of our current system (similar weapons are grouped together on a common page, e.g. [[Pulse Lasers]]). That was causing every weapon to be listed in the outdated category. Fixed that.
• Created provisory pages for the game modes that were still without (TC, LMS)
• Written pages for most of the remaining "Wanted Pages"

[DFDelta]

- Updated light and medium mech armor, weapons and equipment. Prizes are still the 0.5.4 values. (as I can't read them from the .xml)

EDIT: 02/12/2012
- Updated loadouts and armor for ASF and tanks. Prizes are still 0.5.4 values.



Still missing: VTOL, heavies and assaults

There is a console command called dumpMwllPrices.
Also, thanks for keeping working on the Wiki long-term. As we are short on active admins and i'm currently rather busy, feel free to drop me a PM if an admin is needed (PMs should give me e-mail notifications).
