I'm mostly going to be disappointed by the cheat protection, actually, as it means I'll no longer be able to tweak up my own settings for experimentation. For example, someone suggested rapid-firing AC-20s, so I go and edit the .xml, and whip up a burst-fire AC-20. Makes me :(

Another example - I'm about to go get some screenshots for my sig, so I made a PPC do 12,000 damage. It's just not fair that I won't be able to use that PPC in-game anymore. :D

It also means that I will no longer get one-shotted out of the sky by some assjack who has modified his LtGauss weapon damages to defeat the armour value of any aerospace component.

So, if the trade off is your experimental happiness for a reliable and consistent platform to further development of the project on, guess which wins?   ;)

I thought you were going to say something witty about my experimental happiness vs. your ability to airwhore effortlessly >:D

Does this mean a Shiva will have the good sense to die when I shove two Arrow 4's up its rear end?
Thanks for the view.

What is delaying the patch? We can see it's ready for release, as people are playing them on these grayed-out servers.

Hey everyone. I felt bad seeing all of you squirm in regards to the release time, so I just wanted to let you know the general release will be at 4PM EST. In addition to the release on FilePlanet, the new version will be available on several mirrors and through bittorent. This release will include an installer, and will require the download of a full beta. Please BE WARNED: You will need to delete your existing mwll beta install folder FIRST, before using the new installer. If you have data in there like test maps that you want to retain, please back those up first.

A change log is attached. We hope you guys all enjoy it!  ;D

EDIT Seraph: Fixed that for you :D

Those are the more or less official testing servers.
Augh?
No option to not use the installer and thus not have to delete the complete folder?
