I agree, the Harasser is meant to be just what it name states, a harassing combat unit. The low top speed makes the Harasser a simple target that can't circle around even an Atlas without having the guns bared on it.  I also vaguely remember the harasser being a bit less...bulky than it is right now, but you guys are saying that MWLL isn't following the canon series's example, so that's up to the game designers.

Simply put: More speed and a more functional turbo.

How about giving them the ability to strafe?

I think this is a great idea.
Gives them a little more appeal so you can move whichever way you want exposing the least-damaged side to your enemy.

I like Harassers, but currently, with the lack of speed, I can't out-manoevre the slowest turning mechs.

I dont think harrasers need to strafe i mean isn't that the whole point of having a turret that turns through 360 degrees just gief MOAR SPEEEEED!!

I think strafing in a Harasser would be great, would truly make it the most maneuverable unit in the game.

Although it would be great to get a speed boost and strafing, others would think that's too much.

Speed boost sounds good :)
As of strafing... I wouldn't go so far... still need some chances to hit it ;)

Already said that, just not that simply...

I have no idea if crysis will allow it, but if they were controllable like a BA (strafing, ect) they would be a bit more useful.  Hovercraft have this ability IRL.  As of right now they get obliterated by light mechs that are faster and heavies that can one shot them...

Strafing hovercrafts? Now that's a cool idea if I ever heard one. It would really do justice to a hovercrafts maneuverability.

Are hovercrafts capable of strafing?  Is there a modern-day example of this?

I'm really curious if it's possible, but if implemented in game, it might make the Harasser too maneuverable.
Played MWLL for Guillermo del Toro.

Actually, this is how clan Svantovit would work(there was one to ride on the old beta of SA_Desolation). It's direction is controlled with a mouse, while a and d work as strafe keys. It has no turret, so it's the only way for it to fire and move in different directions.

I agree that Harasser should have more speed and turbo should do more than just boost the engine sound. ;D

Strafe.... i'm not so sure if that is needed ???

uuh ooh strafing didn't think about that yet, but you're absolutely right! Looking at the realism issue: The damn thing is hovering, so it could strafe for sure! :)
Could be done by adding rotateyaw command for hovercrafts...

Hell yes. At least half again its present speed. Also, make it behave more its weight (so it doesn't do backflips over pebbles). Then again, the latter is a problem with all tanks..
