Supposedly, Joystick support is out now. My joystick dosn't work with it though. If you have one, use an Xbox 360 control.

If you give us details we may be able to look into what isn't working for you. We can only test on joysticks we have internally really, so if it isn't working for you please don't assume the joystick support doesn't work. Give us the details  ;D

Its not exactly the config im used to ,and will look into remapping some buttons later, but i will keep practising with the current setup for now.

Cheat protection works nice, I am not happy the mwllstartineditor.bat I placed in the mod folder apparently causes the game stop me from playing online as i have modified files, but I can still use a second MWLL folder for editor use. So if there is actually a check for the size of the folders thats really nice. Hope it will keep the cheaters out.

The Thanatos looks awesome with its shiny hull. Very nice.

Some things I noticed:
OH and the 3rd Person view looks nice (for screenshots)! Didn't think you'd implement it after so much resistance. Well I won't judge it yet, the only thing - why would tank drivers not be aloud to use it?
Besides it seemed to me as it runs smoother now.
The new inferno layout is not as nice as the old one at a first glance (may also be because I used to have my best games on the older inferno map).
Frostbite does not even have a description? :) Well at leasts all the star wars fans are good.
APC is ok, did not change much since the old editor version from previous releases. Still nice, very high quality work from the artist section. Never seen anybody use it yet, well it probably gets more popular in different game modes.
The new steering for the aeros seems better for me than it was before, too bad the corsair still did not make it to the release (beside the editor version).

I love the new version!
Its much more stable so far and i think it also runs a bit smoother.
The new Mechs are fantastic. The novacat is walking death with paper armor, the thanatos is the perfect mix of mobility and firepower. And the osiris a nice counterpart for the uller.

Great job!

Third person is a debug feature that was not intended to be left in for the release.  The game does not properly support firing weapons from this view (as evidenced) and it WILL be removed.

Consider it a bug for now.
Add a better camper weapon to stop camping.... i still dont get it.

I love the 3rd person view! I would like it to be kept and adjusted for taller mechs! It makes it a lot easier to move, avoid trees, and aim, I love it!

lol sorry to tell you, but the MWLL team has already stated it wont be in the game. ever. which is good because like you said third-person view makes it easier to aim which is un-sim like and this is a sim game. Also TPV allows a periscope effect; being able to see over the hill in front of you.

third person is a bad idea in any game.  it allows people to use it to look around corners while remaining completely covered still.  This gives them an advantage in that they can see where an enemy is, with the enemy not being able to see them at all.

Keep it all first person is the best way to keep this from happening.

if u cant play first person, then gtfo a fps ;P

aside the fact that i dont like some ppl being able to hover behind their actual self Redvan said pretty much everything there is to it. it just brings obvious advantages (not needing to read the damage symbols to see which body parts are damaged missing, having a lot easier view at your surroundings and enemies,...) compared to ppl that actually play in a way that greatly improves the actual feeling of being in a mech cockpit.
