YOU GUYS ROCK!

250$ in less than 48 hours. That shows some great support by the community as well as the need for good joystick support ;)

I want to thank all of you for giving so willingly and quick! I guess Toth will have some words on that too :)

Maybe we should create something like a monthly dev hardware fund raiser :)

I would like to thank everyone for their support  ;D Honestly you guys rock. I just ordered the g940 today from Buy.com. Now I have to make more room on my desk  :P Anyways going forward here this should allow me to implement some more bells and whistles for joystick support.

the G490 sure is one sexy thing, if MWLL and the upcoming Mechwarrior Reboot both end up fully supporting that beast I'll gladly plunk down $300 for one of my own :)

Me and my aging Saitek X45 thank you all for this.

I'm working on an action map for that specifically. If you have special requests, please send me a PM.

For sure, thanks!  (though I know you're doing it specifically for me). ;)  I'll give some thought to it.  Would you rather a more basic setup or should I come up with an "interesting" setup?

I would just like the ability to have multiple devices plugged into my PC, and then with them select and calibrate which axis for whatever.  For example I select the axis for steering(in MWLL) and then move my joystick left and right the full range of movement, return it to center and press a button.  Also advanced settings per axis, for accleration, rates or ramping.

It wouldn't take long to setup any joystick/thottle/pedal this way.

I can assist anyone in creating actionmaps for different sticks, but please check the joystick articles in the wiki first.

using multiple joysticks works with PPJoy, I put an article about that in the wiki too.

While most games allow direct input of buttons to map things, I think its much harder for axis because there's not always a guaranteed on or off to detect. Sure some smart logic could be written to detect that it was adjusted from way negative to way positive, but I don't think I've seen any commercial game detect a moved axis for input, normally just a combo box to select which axis you want to assign.

It would kindof nice though to come up with some method to automatically set the right sensitivities based on that sort of calibration, but I can't imagine the amount of work that would be needed since its not built into crysis. Maybe its something I might think about looking into if I get bored with the MWLL actionmapper program.

How goes it with joy stick support? Are you guys making progress any idea on when it will be added to the game?
