Will we DL it if the servers got it or do we have to DL it before hand?

I can put all the grass back in to be solid however that was done to be better on the resources.  The water thing is not avoidable that I've seen as the particle is meant to be used on water volumes instead of the ocean.  I'll see to the mechhangar stuff as that hangar was recently but in.  I'll take a look at the trees thing too
Yeah, if you dull down the trees a bit you'd free up some resources to allow the grass in. If you're interested, i put together a map optimisation tutorial on Crymod: http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=54676

Cheers :D

Right now, due to the Beta being on Crysis Vanilla instead of wars, you have to download and insert it up your game manually.
When it's been ported over to Wars, such things can be done automagically

Little Question from me:

That's Crysis\Game\Levels\Multiplayer\PS - but maybe you are looking for Mods\mwll\Game\Levels\Multiplayer\SA ?

I checked the map out. It's pretty cool and looks like it could make some interesting matches but it does have some issues.  Like Shinanigans was saying the thick jungles can be hard on the fps; my fps never dipped too low but with players it could get bad.  I liked the smaller dense jungle patches since they can be used for cover and could be especially interesting for BA ambushes.

The larger segments of jungle is where the fps takes a hit and I think taking the density down a notch would really help.  I see the point of making it dense and it should be mostly kept but the thickness is pretty heavy on the system.

The terrain does look a bit bland in areas with the lack of grass of course it's not that big of a deal since it will only effect the beauty of the map. I still think despite the lack of grass in some areas it does look very nice overall. Lastly I noticed the lava in the volcano does not seem to cause damage... not that it really matters since I don't know why you would be chilling in a volcano.

I'd like to see this map put into rotation or at least tested for a bit on some servers.

Ah, thank you.
I don't really do all that much with crysis, no idea about the folders/structure <.<

Well since it's a MWLL map I figured you were looking in the wrong folder ;)

Question for the OP/Spyro and/or Bug-Report
Once i had been in Reach of the enemy turrets, no matter where on the map i hovercrafted, i still got the Missle Warning.
Furthermore, are the Volcanoes supposed to act like the Lava on Inferno? Or did you just have them there to look nice?
I've been walking around in one and i can see missle boats hiding in the smoke in there allready.
Another thing that was odd to me: on the lower right corner of the map, i wasn't even close to touching the map border as seen on the map.
but i still got killed for leaving the combat area O.o

Beautiful looking map.

I love the downed Union-class dropship a la Mechwarrior 3. :)

Spyro, well done.

We need more maps like this. Its open enough to allow for tactical movements, but has cover and obstacles for all sort of tactics. I can this map being played many different ways each time.

One important thing is that mountains and hills act as obstacles, but you can actually walk over them. One things I find really annoying in other maps is that hills and mountains basically act as walls. But by allowing players to walk over them, it really opens up the map to all sort things.

The forest. I really like them. They actually feels like a real dense forests once inside. Although I can see this being a framerate issues with a full server, try to keep that same feel of the forest as much as possible when optimizing it. Also I really like how mechs can traverse the forest patches, but tanks CAN'T. I don't know if that was intentional, but if it was its a nice touch. In fact imo that should be a feature for all maps from now that include forests.

A couple issues though.

The shrubs in between the forests are eye sores. Their view distance is really close so they keep popping up all over the place and changing shapes. Its really distracting and detracts from the overall aesthetic of the map. I would say just to get rid of all foliage between the forest patches, and put just grass and the occasional tree. Also it seems if you get too close to the southern volcano you are suddenly considered outside the maps and it kills you within 5 seconds. I usually always get killed while walking down there. The occasional pools of water you find throughout the map look like swimming pools. I say just to get rid of them if there is no way to change the color. They look silly.

All in all, good map.

There's actually a reason why you can't walk over the hills on the other maps.
Framerate-Drops due to viewed distance that has to be computed. If you can't walk over them, it's a natural barrier in line of Sight.
Thus it lessens the load on Machines. If you can get on top and see the complete map, your computer has to actually compute the complete map.
With the MWLL Maps being about 8 Times as big as usual Vanilla Crysis Maps, this means a HUGE load . .

I don't mean the big ass mountains that prevent you from seeing the much larger map, but the smaller hills that whether due to odd geometry, trees or other small objects prevent you from scaling it without getting stuck, frustrated, killed or all 3. When I say it opens up the map, I don't literally mean the actual map, but it opens it to a larger number of tactical options.
