that is a known issue where you get that missile warning...thats because the Colliopes keep fireing even though your out of range.  Btw Sanny had a hand in the execution of the dropship crash so give him some credit for it too

While I truly applaud Spyro's efforts, and I've actually played on SA_Paradise several times I think someone from the DEV team does need to make the statement that all community maps are not officially supported and we will not be fielding "bug reports" on them.  Please direct all feedback and bugs to the respective community map developers.

Congrats to Spyro on getting this one out there, can't wait to be your wingman and thread the needle through the dropship bay in a Sulla!

Fair enough.  Any idea when you guys are gonna let Aruin's Palace Gates and Frostbite out for beta testing?

Finally got a chance to test the map out - the layout is great, the Dropship is good too (and exploring it was interesting xP).

my only complaint is that the terrain textures all seem a little unnatural... this might've been because I wasn't on my own PC and all the settings were "Low" though :3

Nope, all settings maxed over here and they still look a bit too much like plastic.

I'll see what I can do...this is my first map ever on anything...I didn't know how to change much of anything...you'll eventually see a map (by my count...the 4th or 5th I've made or am making now) I'm making in which I've made my own particles, terrain textures, etc.  perhaps I will fix up the map in my spare time and release it again when MWLL switches to Wars.  The entire map you see was really finished several months ago, I just touched up a few things recently and put it out.

Got to try this today on whatever server was hosting it, Battlebox I think?

Love the map, it's a big map with plenty of open areas and cover too that supports long range and short range mech usage. A few tips if you see fit to improve this map anyway:

1. Terrain: besides the lack of grass, pretty good. I did notice a LOD issue where even on Very High settings (which I run) anything beyond around 100 meters looked TERRIBLE for some reason. I think the map has some weird view distance settings.
2. The southwest IS base with the airfield has a fence around the airfield near the coast. This tiny fence is more formidable than any mech in the game apparently, and cannot be knocked down. I suggest either removing it or changing it to a destructible fence.
3. Not sure if this is repeatable, but I ran into a bug where my IS player could visually see and shoot clan base Calliope turrets, but could not see them on radar and could not target them. I don't recall having this problem when I played clan on the map, so it may be an intermittent issue.

Other than those little things, it's a wonderfully diverse map. Thanks for putting it out there for us Spyro :D
I want more heavy gauss in my life.

It is a fun map in itself and it is nice enough looking, but it cannot stand up to the graphical awesome of inferno and clearcut i am afraid ^^

Actually I looked @ the forest and said well can't go through that and went around.
Some forests should be that way.

BUT

Problems
NO out of bounds box.
And when you do find the out of bounds you have a 5 second timer before you die.
Please put the out of bounds box in and increase the timer to the standard 15 seconds.

Other then that I love the map.
It appears very functional for battles will have to play more with it.

there is an bounds box...I'll talk with Sanny and Korjax and figure out how to paint the line in on the minimap so you can visually see it...I tried to make the edge inaccessible with Coral but it sounds like your hitting it anyway.  Its pushed back to almost the edge on purpose because I want the player to use all of the terrain...its meant to be a very open gameplay in terms of strategy...the only place that the out of bounds box comes in off the edge is places where if the enemy gets to Spawn camping and camping in general will become a huge problem

It is the upper right hand of the map, B7 & C7 the island.
You naturally want to send someone up there first thing if your clan to watch the area and protect that flank.
And it is a surprise when you find it is out of bounds.

first of all I want to say this map absolutely rocks !! It is my favorite of all the MWLL maps so far... Love the dropship crash, damage path, fire and such... (I also loved that you could climb inside that ship in BA and see mech bays, other levels and such. it was very cool). The shipwreck in the corner..way cool. Overall i love the terrain.. there are a lot of good tactical possibilities with this map. As mentioned, out of bounds markers would be good..i couldnt turn around fast enough once I walked out and I wasnt even in the outer grid sections in the water and was going out of bounds..some of the forest sections are very thick and it seems you can plow thru some but not other areas of the same density.. but I kinda liked the effect anyway.. Jumpjetting over these jungle areas was interesting.  the water navigation ln and out here looks just great. all in all, a damn good map.

We need more servers loaded with this map !!
