I dont understand crap about editing actionmap files, its all complete gidderish to me.
I tried with the actionmap file to get it set for MWLL but gave up as I could not get my head around it.
What youre doing here is great.
Makes it possible for those of us who cant edit the actionmap files to use the joystick as well :P
Keep up the good work, hope you get it done soon soon. :)

Here's another teaser. The blue M icon shows modifications since it was last saved. The Red icon shows conflicts, and also a message shows which key it is conflicting with on the same tab.

Can you map the keys so that you could hold down ctrl for example and press another button in order to do a specific thing?

not yet, i don't think the actionmaps file/crysis supports it. That'll be up to the MWLL devs to see if they could at some point implement that.

Oh well. There's so many other things in the engine that conflict with the development of mwll.
At times i feel like they picked the wrong engine for the job.. Sure, the graphics are nice and all, but still...

I think the con of the inability to map to multiple key inputs simultaneously pales in comparison with all the other cool stuff they've already done and have yet to do.  Gotta keep things in perspective yo!

I decided to release the first version a bit early. Its fully capable of handling one actionmaps file at a time, so perhaps I'll work on making it be a real profiler with multiple profiles at a later time.  Make sure to read the README!

I did a good deal of testing, but if anyone does find any crucial bugs I couldn't see then please let me know and how to reproduce. Enjoy!

This needs to be integrated into the next version of the mod launcher (with due credit to capper of course), since not being able to change controls (easily) is one of the major complaints the mod seems to cop from the general public.

i'm now using my joy in left hand to turn, move, etc.. all the buttons needed on hot switch, trigger, and the 4 surrounds and the thumb wheel there while using the mouse to pivot, for targeting, zoom and shooting grps.


what i still haven't done is turn off pivot on the joystick fully.  not sure which 2 axis that is..

spotted my first bug, I forgot to set the Player tab's Aim up/down and left/right actions to analog only controls and it prevents it from being set to the mouse if you decide to change it.  So long as you don't modify those two actions they'll stay internally as mouse axes so won't affect you until you try to change it.

Also just found out the "invert" functions are not behaving properly with the modification/conflict stuff

I'll be posting an updated download around my lunch break today if not before to handle these

Run the joy.exe program located in the programfiles.crytek.crysis.mods.mwll folder...it will tell you what everything does on your joystick.

Version 0.1.1 has been uploaded with the following fixes:

Where do i extract it?

Anywhere you want really, it doesn't need to be anywhere special to pick up where your crysis profiles folder is.  I'd suggest putting in a folder inside My Documents, your Desktop, or in Program Files, whichever floats your boat.
