There, the key right above the not numpad enter key.
it seems to be missing from the program O.o

Good call I forgot all about the backspace key. And you know why? I never make mistakes! Muahahahaha! :P

It'll be in the next version for sure, though there are some keys i'm leaving out on purpose, like tilde and tab since they're reserved for the console and scoreboard

i have no problem with anything on the left side of the right shift key, as i only use the right side of my keyboard for my gaming, save for the space bar.
but i use the back space to toggle back through my weapons and to reverse throttle in vehicles x.x
also: looking forward to the next version ^^
finally being able to play with my very own completely incomprehensible keyboard layout (which i use exclusively and to great success, much to the annoyance of my buddies who can't do shit with my layout) is so very important. it means my little tank is probably gonna have more of a chance now ^^

Missing? K - Switch Ramping / Instant throttle now only for Aeros and VTOL's.

I had no clue if that even did anything or what it meant so I left it out. I can add the action in, but it would be nice to be explained its purpose.  What does it do?

It gives you gradual throttle rather than full on/off.  hit k and then when you use W or S it gradually increases RPM.

It was enabled on all the assets but it isn't any more :(

The Aero's can use it as an exploit, that you can make switch turns with the throttle set to instant. Releasing the thrust momentarily while pulling to another direction and hit the throttle again you can turn on a dime in mid air.

I've just released v0.1.2, with gamepad control as a new addition among a few other additions and fixes listed below.  Get it here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/actionmapper/

Assuming there's no other bugs found later that really need to be fixed for the v0.1 series, I'm not planning on releasing another version until v0.2 to include a profiling system.

Quote
= Features added for release v0.1.2 =
   - added all gamepad buttons/axes
   - added extra actions used for gamepads/joysticks, marked as prepending "(X)" to the action name
   - added toggle ramping/instant throttle action to Vehicle section
   - added overwrite question dialog to "Save As" function if file already exists
   - save functions for new configurations set the default name to "actionmaps.xml" and appends ".xml" to file name chosen if it doesn't already end with the extension

= Bug fixes for release v0.1.2 =
   - corrected Inverse checkbox from occasionally being set invisible when switching to different actions and coming back to the modified action
   - added Backspace key as selection

Here's something: I love this program, it's immensely helpful, but I have an issue: It appears that the joystick mode only supports 25 buttons. My Saitek X52 has well over 30, not sure how many exactly. Not a big thing at all, and it's still a fantastic program, and I really appreciate the time and effort you've put into it.

Love to see that you're adding specific names for the "hats"! Right now for me they're just buttons 19, 20, 21, etc as I'm sure you know.

Another thing that has to do with the amount of buttons -- The trigger on my X52 (which I know is a common setup) is Button 00. Right now, the button numbers start at 1 so my trigger on my right stick is essentially useless. If/when you do add more buttons, having the numbers start at 0 would fix this.
