Not seen it cause a problem so far.  An Atlas vs half a dozen Lights isn't going to last long, as long as the Lights keep moving.

Well Petru - there is a flaw in your logic. It's an Atlas plus 5 other lights vs. half a dozen lights...  :o

OTH - I haven't seen that kind of abuse yet. But it's a bad loophole for sure!

True, if the 5 lights are supporting the Atlas, then it's a whole different story, but not come across that so far, usually just one guy suiciding to put another in a heavy/assault, and the rest of their team going rambo.

If you can't transfer til rank 3 or so, that would certainly delay it, that and a suicide or two can drop your rank somewhat quickly... perhaps putting you back below threshold.

I agree with the point that it seems too easy to gain Cbills.  Killing a mech shouldn't reward you with a huge jackpot everytime imo.  I definitely flood cbills to everyone on my team when I am doing well and it makes for a lot of assault mechs in the mid game.

The whole 'mid-game' 'end-game' ideas I think need to apply a variable. Some people like shorter matches, sometimes as short as 40 min (though the shortest is usually 60). While others like their matches drawn out and long like 90 min. This makes a big difference in what the "mid-game" is defined as.

Also, some people like longer "light battle" times while others enjoy to progress quickly through the ranks and money to have options open up. I for one enjoy having more light-medium mechs around for a good length of the match with a small group of heavy and even less assaults popping up. Makes for more "omg the big guy showed up!!!". But at our current state we need more medium mechs to enjoy that light-medium time frame more.

But again it's all about personal taste.

Some players even late in the match may still perfer to take some of the lighter mechs even when Assaults start appearing on the field. (I usually see a tleast one person in a Gauss/PPC Shadow cat) Although some times it seem to come quickly in a match. (I think some of the price ranges are a little messed up like being able to get a Warhammer at PCM.) Otherwise I am good with the system until something better comes along.

Been noticing some hollander 2's coming out on the NEW arena lately.  Guess sharing cbills is not against the rules it just seems strange at first.

If the system is going to be changed so you cant stack money from suiciding, then we need a way to effectively change everyones starting money on a server. For clan practices/events we need quite heavy weight classes and we dont have the time to play what is effectively a 'proper' game to try to get to afford the stuff we need right off the bat. I know there was some commands originally for none dedicated servers but they seem to have stopped working for the moment.

I think this will eventually sort itself out when Lances become the norm.  you got so many cbills to build a lance at first...then you could buy say an assault, 2 heavies, and 1 light or, 3 heavies and a medium, etc..  No gifting of cbills and money goes to the lance salvage kitty for repair and rearm.  Also salvaging mechs should be enbabled at the MFB's or the Base Hangar say 50% salvage.  Abbandoned mechs salvage should also go to the opposing team.  Another deterrent to ejecting from you mech.  If you want to roll in a BA then go it without a mech.

other than the suicide problem, I like the aspect of a team pooling money esp at start to bring up some larger mechs with ba support..

you don't see this often because even during a start, people log in and buy a light mech faster than any plans could be made..

perhaps there could be a 1 min chat room before the game?  that would really promote the team aspect much more..

What you (I) really want to see maintained is the relative rarity of mechs in a sort of heirarchical structure.  Light mechs should be 10 times (made that up) more common than an assault imo and maybe cost should reflect and/or guide frequency.  I'm not clear on how Armor and aero factor in here.

no.. especially NOT at the start.
because INSTANTLY the other team i s screwed. public servers, beta, noobs every day trying it out, n last night i see the other team spawn half SCats n hollanders and the other half BA and , oh incidentally, theyre top players, and thats it..
game over.

that is no fun for the other team, and REALLY , kinda lame for the team pulling this move. I mean seriously, what the hell is the fun having on your team the top 7 guys like 55 n 6 n on the other side the whole team has 5 kills.

most people arent dropping into games on TS etc. its unrealisitc to expect this kind of teamwork at the begining of a game.
