So there's one thing that has been buggin' me for some time and I couldn't seem to find anyone depicting it.
I wondered why the pilots of the Mechs are carrying B.A.s instead of actual Mechwarriors. I know that it might seem a little hard to criticize something this essential at such a late state. But for example after reading Bloodname again last week I thought that it'd be cool to switch the B.A.s with normal pilots. Meaning that the pilots are fragile after exiting the cockpit and would die on Extremity when ejecting just like Aidans opponent died due to the atmospheric void on Rhea.
Of course some would say that the B.A. is essential for the gameplay experience but I mean it's simply not canon that B.A.s manouver the Battlemechs on the one hand and also it would really redefine the role of the APC and B.A. in general, why not choose the B.A. as a primary weapon (get 4 B.A.s into an APC and drive onto the battlefield) and therefor make it a little more powerful opposed to the exiting Mechwarrior that really ejects with his parachute, as in the MW5 Trailer, and needs backup to survive (which would enforce gameplay)?
B.A.s could be quickly accessible and affordable from the start and still play a great role if played right. I mean the new B.A. claw amongst other additions could really prove the B.A.s are very strong enemies and not just annoying flies that need a LBX to their faces. Also a more strategic approach to the B.A. would be strengthened instead of simply ejecting because your Mech is about to blow up.
I'm really curious to know what you guys think about this not considering the effort that would have to be put into the changes.
