...By the way, what sort of talent do you need most anyway?...
The link in AoP's original post sums up the general needs of the team. I don't think at this juncture they are looking for people who are "toying with the idea of learning to map", although I'm sure they would encourage any such contributions in the Community Created Content section of this forum.
I think we,, *you* need a good PR man/woman.. I want to see the servers fill up more!!
The "PR" person started this thread...
Aah, I wasn't saying you should actually hiring me. That would be a disaster for all involved.

If I do spend some time tinkering with Sandbox and Geocontrol it'll end up in the community section.
I think you could use a bit more PR though, especially if you're looking to hire. Why not do some interviews or try and score some articles on various gaming sites? The more people reading anything MWLL related (whether on this site or not) the more likely you are to get applications, especially if you can work in a request for help.
All you gotta do is contact a few sites and offer to give them an overview of who you are, what you're doing, and what the future plans for the mod are. Tell them you'll answer whatever questions you're able to, you'll provide screenshots and you'll give them a bit of info on upcoming mechs or features or something of that nature. If they don't want a full interview offer to give them enough text with good information and quotes to easily produce a full article without having to contact you again. Basically try and make it as easy as possible for these sites to produce an interesting article. And of course tell them that in return you want the article to link to your site and to mention that you're looking to hire. Since this amounts to only a couple sentances I can't imagine anyone's going to refuse this.
There are lots of sites that would be interested in running something like this, I think. Moddb regularly interviews mod teams that have less to say and less to show than you guys, and these interviews end up on the front page.
This gaming site is currently doing weekly interviews with mod teams, so they'd probably be interested. I also noticed you've made it onto some pretty major gaming sites like destructoid, rockpapershotgun and kotaku without even contacting them, so I imagine if you got back to them and offered to give them what they wanted they'd be happy to run something. Just google mechwarrior living legends and take a look at all of the sites you've already made it on to. Every one of these is a potential source of future publicity if you approach them and play your cards right
