I have an account that I play occasionally - though I only started earlier this year so I'm still loitering around Empire waiting for skills to train up.

Character name is Gerhard Gallenneset, member of [BoBE] (Band of Brothers Enterprises - in no way related to the old BoB Alliance).

Luckily, when the EVE servers go down for nightly maintenence is also the same time that the Australian MW:LL servers are most active.

aim

hit that one on the head.  that's exactly what EVE does not require ;P
Eve is all about the  ship build, strategy, teamwork and number crunchin XD

I'm hoping JGE will actually get released some day... that'll have ship build, strategy, teamwork, number crunchin, aaaaaand aim ;)

Been playing EVE now for about two years, not a bad pilot, but I will never say I am good either, heh.

EVE is... well, kinda the opposite of almost all the instant gratification style games flooding the market right now. It takes time to get better, and the game is constantly expanding and changing. It actually got MMO of the Year this year I think...

However, I find it hard to recommend EVE sometimes, mainly because it's so different. The learning curve is more like a brick wall, and it can feel like work sometimes, but whenever I get burned out on something, I just login and do whatever I feel like doing today.

Not so active anymore, but maintaining my training, trying to keep from getting left behind.

been playin for about 2 yrs now. I'm in faction warfare in "blackrise". It's a great game, but I'm kinda going thru a burn-out phase atm (feels good to actually aim and shoot in this mod  8) wanna see a vid I made?

Used to play, have an inactive year and a halfish old character character called Kronsig Vertug, a combat pilot, but I tend to drift in and out of Eve, I quite like it, but it takes up a lot of time and often I can't give it that time. My last corporation "Knight's Creed" went under, so I kind of gave up after that, the stress of CEOship when no one else is willing to be delegated tasks was irritating and time consuming.

Also got another combat/trade alt that I used to help me with missions, but once I wasn't playing the game enough to fund my subscription I quickly tired of paying actual money for the game on two accounts.

Been playing Eve for just over a year.  Pretty much started playing when I got tired and sick of MW4 and was looking for a new game. Found Eve and MWLL, played both but took a break from MWLL. Don't have time to play both.
Eve does have a steep learning curve, but there is a corp for beginners called Eve University. I joined them when I started, gave me a good understanding of the game mechanics. After E-Uni, I went to join CVA and still play with them. Love the battles in Eve.  Eve char name: Ahimsa Rinzen. I'm a caldari, but did have to cross train to fly Amarr ships and use lasers on top of my beloved drake. But then lasers rock..both in Mechwarrior and Eve Online  ;D
Vid of CVA b'day, a taste of how fleets look like in eve in general, a lot of fun as long as the fleets don't get too big causing too much lag.

Had some dealings with CVA. They didn't like the corp I was in too terribly much, they got this idea that we were a bunch of griefers and pirates...

Oh wait...

Because we were? Amarr space was fun. Nice change of pace from living up in the nether regions of Caldari space.

I love the concept of Eve, and I used to play it a little. I just couldn't really get into the mechanics.

I do however love to read about the hilarious things that happen, it gives me real hope for the White Wolf MMO. Fingers crossed it'll be something real interesting on that front.

Eve is too much like a spreadsheet to be a fun game for me ... I played it in beta and for about 6 months afterwards but it was so boring I gave up.

I am seriously thinking of going back to eve. Only problem is eve is srs bsns, and i have enough time taken up by other things at the moment.

Had a decent ship and a few million creds, but hadnt really experienced the game when my trial ran out.

There's too many serious buisness games we need to be playing.

Sort yourself out.
