EVE online.....anyone *echo echo echo*
« on: March 11, 2010, 01:26:14 PM »
Ok so i got hooked on EVE due to a friend of mine ,the backdrop is awsome and the history is so rich. Also for a guy who just always wanted to go into space its a dream game. Lastly my GF plays so we are on and off frequently.

Anyway i got two characters ones a miner/industiralist and a pure fighter pilot. So if ya need a hauler/miner or somthing made let me know. I build mainly galantean ships .

PS:if anyone wants to give the game a shot im more than happy to hand out a few 21 day trial invites. :D

If I wasn't burnt out on MMO gaming (4 odd years of WoW) then I'd probably be tempted to give EVE a try, but since I am, I'll have to pass. Heard interesting things about it though, like that Guiding Hand Society thing they spent a year doing, and really kicked the crap outta that big corporation.

my sp is kinda low for being on almost a year XD cause i had short break when my finances couldnt handle much bendding >.>

also for anyone who saysthey are tired of the MMO scene i recomend eve BIG time becouse its so none linear as far as MMOs go its a working mans game is what icall it. You only need to set up skills let them level up ( even when ya offline its all real time) then go back in a few days and do ya thing. The massiveness is indescribalbe especialy with tyrannis aroudn the bend it will elt us control planets and populations.

EVE Online is interesting... beautiful... vast... and so deep as to be "Abyssal"... I really ought to get back into it. ;D

One major point about the game, though: Get Friends. You'll have much, much, /much/ more fun if you join an ACTIVE corp and take part with them rather than go solo :D

Hell, even if all you end up doing is getting in an Industrial and spending time as a miner, doing it with a dozen other guys makes it more interesting.

Eve for me is like a dirty love.... I love what the game stands for and the experience you get when you put the right amount of time into it. However, I have to pull myself away from it since I simply don't have the free time right not. I also find a major flaw in that it's a game that I cannot enjoy playing for only an hour per day.

I've flown with a lot of people... starting with the original IRON, to TRI when they were good. I owned a corp in PURE for a while and then mostly shifted to hardcore pvp/no alliance guys. Flying with Balls Deep Inc was one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in the game.

What do I fly? I have a need for speed. Mostly Vagabonds, Sabres, Stilettos.

Used to play it quite a lot earlier. Have gone back to playing it once or twice a year or so...
I just suck at it though... :)

I also played EVE intensively for 1.5 or so years (during the great southern wars), but I disgusted the politics, treachery, blobbing present heavily in 0.0 :)
Also, sometimes I felt EVE is my second workplace, not a game.

My characters still exist though, who knows when I will go back. Now I prefer to hop in a big mech and shot someone into little pieces instead of waiting for hours to have a little action :)
