Tactics you can use:1) Call for help. Certain Mechs/Vehicles are extremely effective against BA, and hopefully your teammates will be willing to kill it for you.3) If it starts to rush you, backpedal away from it. Most Mechs can outrun a BA even while moving backward, and BA tend to be much easier to deal with at range. By backpedaling, you keep it at range while limiting its lateral movement, making it much easier to hit.some players simply view them as easy kills.
Here's why:I had a BA follow me back to base with passive radar, creeping like a ninja the whole way. He knew i was damaged. I went in to base for repairs after mixing it up oppsing mech's face on like the game is intended. I came out ready to go at it again, and hiding in the trees using PASSIVE RADAR he took pot shots at me with the "BLUE BA CANNON".Now, I play BA when my mech gets blow up and take on mech out in the field, but I am telling you right now, BA should not have PASSIVE RADAR period...Now, I am sure that there are people who will say "the only thing BA has is passive radar to survive, and yes, I understans that as well.SO what is the tactic I should have used for the :::BA NINJA TRICK:::
About sick of the pansies jumpin outta their cored mech before it goes critical. Then plugging away at you off radar with the RPG (or whatever weapon it is it isn't on my list) to avoid being killed and getting a kill. Very lame. I see how these guys go 38-6 in a 60 minute server. No way a single infantryman should be able to take down a battlemech even at 50% damage.
Quote from: SquareSphere on March 17, 2010, 03:44:29 PMThe BA can be only detected around 100m for normal radar, it's just another reason why C3 is so important but often ignored :pI hate C3, ever since this is ingame I constantly get LBL-popped by people 600m away It would only be fair to give us C3 and some expensive equipment raising our radar to standart mech levels
