especially when a raven is running round feeding targets on team chat... and the lt driver has publicly apologised in advance because its his first time in lt... stay away from the targets lol and "you hit us watch your aim" would work a lot better than go back to counterstrike...

Well Can I just take the time first to say thank you to everyone involved in this project its truly a great achievement.

Secondly I understand its a beta and yes their will be problems I just need somewhere to vent lol

A little background first.  I'm probably what you'd call "average joe" round here, I played mw2 mercenaries back in the red blocky good old days lol.  My friend had mw3 and I loved that, I played MW4 all the expansions black night mekpaks all that stuff.  I'm generally more into campaigns than online play, but I do enjoy it from time to time.

Well today was one of those everything that can go wrong in the mod does go wrong days...
1) numerous glitches - all annoying but forgiven due to beta-ness
2) This guy called Spartan with a ping 3 (sometimes 5) times higher than everyone else.  You couldn't kill him, he had no problem killing us, but I fired 2 AC20 volleys at his (stationary) mech and he took no damage, then I exploded... Killed by Spartan... I wasn't the only one getting annoyed by this
3)Long tom... Well its fine for enemy to use whilst its camped in their own base safely surrounded by mechs, I tried it once (well twice but first time I sat in Hanger waiting for scout to be ready and died without fighting back), backed up by actual scouting so I had targets, and got complained at in game chat for quote "ruining the game" and I should "go back to counterstrike" (not that I ever played).  The 2 tries to attack my stationary unguarded longtom were a mad cat mk 2 that tried to flank me with active radar (come on???) and a shadowcat running in a straight line towards me...  I actually abandoned my long tom when all the nova cats and mad cat mk2's stopped standing next to each other in an impenetrable wall.  I had the grand total of 3 kills!!!!! Wow I made such an impact...  I didn't even need to reload before I abandoned it... The other team came back later with one that we had to kill but I was the one ruining the game with my bad aim just because it worked?
4) Nova cats just standing stationary next to each other with pulse lasers... get near your arm falls off instantly... Just tears through armour (and long tom would be ruining the game ofc  ::))

Venting done... Sorry if my rant disturbed you  :o
You forgot to mention that you shot two teammates in one salvo from green to dark red with your longtom and that probably one of those victims told you to go back to Counterstrike.

He can't see what hes hit though, and if team mates want to give the enemies nice big hugs when you KNOW your team has an LT. Then you kinda deserve to die.
Yeah excuse me for having to get close to enemies to use my LBX20.

In my opinion it's the duty of the LT to not hit friendlies with fire.

The fact is you KNEW there was an LT firing at the targets I was calling out. It was in chat. So it's your own stupidity for rushing in and getting shot by the LT. It's not like he missed and killed you. The enemy did die. You was just in the way.

It's not the artillery permitting where troops are to stand but it's the troops permitting the artillery to fire at a coordinate.

The last time I checked it was a team game, I was telling magic what target to hit, you KNEW he was going to fire there. Jumping under an LT shell and blaming the LT is rediculous. He shouldn't have to worry about mechs suciding into his fire.

Again... First and only ever time in long tom...
I told everyone in team to beware and publicly apologised before I got in the thing!
Targets were being called out I was concentrating on firing at them, if you walk forward and die horribly then I'm sorry  :o
Maybe when you die don't come out with LBX until the guy with the long tom gives up...

Plus thats kinda the point of the thread...
I was fed up of the huge Assault mech war with everyone just running towards each other point blank range!

haha squirrel i know exactly what you're talking about.  I hate seeing mechs with long range weapons rush to 3-400m ranges.
