Those stats are messed up. The two matches I was in yesterday, both you and capper did better than I, and yet I'm ranked higher than both of you. Unless both of you went on to play more and did poorly, then I guess that works out.

Yea, I can't imagine how it is that I'm ranked 3rd...I was playing terrible on the server and eventually rage quit LOL

Still completely unplayable.


the reason is people with high pings, you have to boot with greater than 150 or so.  Saw this on other server once the 1 guy with 300 ping was booted the server went back to normal.

those stats don't really say much about anything.  The only stat worth looking at is the "score/min" (S/M), which doesn't mean much either.  The highest total score can be achieved by whoever plays on that server the most.

based on the stats, you went on to play more which is how you got a higher score  ;)

I have continually been booted form the server and i have always had a ping average of 19 there. Everyone else seems to have a decent ping also before i get booted. Usualy it will happen after 10 minutes into a match with 22+ people.

In other severs, I find if ONE PERSON has a crappy ping (200+) then everyones ping tends to go up a bit, and everyone gets nasty nasty lag. It really does only take one douche to ruin it for everyone.

Ping filters on servers should be a must. Not on all servers, but most.

I understand this is an issue, however there are some Australian players - myself included - who have taken to playing on US servers regularly now - due to what appears to be a waning in interest for the mod here (this is not to stay it is over, it just seems difficult to maintain enough numbers for even one regular close to full server).

Having an unusually high ping may be cause for animosity toward those players, but it is far from intentional griefing.

It seems that if everyone's ping stays below 200, hopefully below 150, there are no real issues. You might get the occasional hit that doesn't register, or maybe a small warp, but nothing terrible.

The Warpyness seems to get worse when an unusually high ping joins, or someones ping spikes. On the official server, I have never had a serious warp issue, but the cracked one.. you cram 32 people in there, and its like mechs are using teleporters.

I have been on some 32 slot servers and just wont play them untill  something is resolved. Regardless of how much you pay or how good the server is or the location of the server, 98% of the time I experience warping issues in drop and also people on our comms will experience the same issue and it gets down to us leaving.  Iam going to be testing were the fine line is at on our server for "enjoyability" to were it goes down hill by increasing the slots to 28 and see if it runs good or if I need to drop it to 26 and so forth.

Also those people with the high pings or spikes- 150 or more.. Good for you for playing and keep it up. Regardless of were ya are from, Its good fights...   just stay out of the vtols!!

If servers lowered the amounts per side, it would spread the load and make this game seem more alive.

Right now there is only 3 servers populated with any decent number of players at a given time, sometimes, though very rarely you'll see 3-4 people in a 4th or 5th server.

8v8, 9v9, or 10v10 would still allow for plenty of variations between teams. Private servers used for skirmishes or league play could be the full 16v16 of course. But some of the popular server admins should consider setting the limit a bit lower. If not for performance then for just making more servers available.

A server thats 0/24 isn't inviting whatsoever. Yeah I can go play on that. But I'm speaking for the players that don't browse forums and such. Seeing only 3 active servers at a time makes it look like a dying game.

 Good point. Full 32x32 makes lag and slowdown issues too severe anyway.

 Cracked is popular because it is, well, cracked, i.e. no CD-key required. While all players with no valid cd keys would still stay there and there only, most of the rest would surely join a better server if there's a chance for it to became populated during one game. I sometimes do that when I see no other options except BoSS or no appealing maps in play and even now I usually see new players joining after some 10 minutes of 1 on 1 or even solo wandering.

Would be nice if people would actually buy the game, so we could see some more folks on the better admined, more stable and generally more pleasent to be on servers.
