If the were to ask us which two Mechwarrior 4 Maps would we like to see re-vamped for MWLL. Which two would you want??

I would like to see a good City map. Early in the MWLL project a city map was created by an MWLL Dev, Death_Grin. It was called Cold Steel. It was a really good map but alas the buildings in the map, while beautiful, were too expensive to allow for good FPS performance. I think the MWLL Devs may have learned how to create efficient urban landscapes now and I hope to see a well designed city map. This type of map may need to wait until the port to Crysis Wars.

Agreed. We lack that element in the game maps. Last time I looked, or heard, Salvatoris had one in the works before they snatched him up as a Developer. With the new [possibly 0.3.0] patch forthcoming in a month or so, we may yet see such a map. Keep your fingers crossed.

Well city maps take a lot of work so I wouldn't bet on seeing one in the near near future, but it is definably something that is on the radar for a map we'd like to do as well.

And where's the option "Tropical island" ?
Something like crysis... beach, mountains, valley, fishing-village to demolish with my demolisher... great graphics... would be awesome & faster to do than city map.

Honestly, I wouldn't like a city map as I think it would be implemented.

Can you imagine the pain in the ass of making those buildings scalable by battle armor?  Giving them nooks and crannies to hide in?  Yeesh!

What I'd suggest instead is a sprawling military base.  That way, you can place mech-scale structures and open things up so that these structures aren't just big blocks of obstruction.  Like hangars, give them catwalks for BA to walk on and make them tall enough for mechs to pass through.  Better yet, make them short enough for light mechs to pass through, but not larger mechs.  See what I'm getting at?  You have a much greater deal of leeway in regard to fine detail when creating structures built for the vehicles we use rather than using structures that would be found in a city environment.

or just make both?? but at any rate, ^thats a really good idea
