Download issue

I'm new to MWLL and have tried to download the newer beta mod but am having an issue with the Microsoft.DirectX.

The error message reads as follows:

Could not load file or assembly "Microsoft.DirectX.Auto Video Playback, Version = 1.0.2902.0.Culture = Neutral Public Key Token = 31bf3856ad364e35' or one of its dependencies.  The system cannot find the file specified.

Can someone direct me in the right direction to solve this problem?  I've bought the ParetoLogic FileCure but apparently I'm not downloading the correct fix?

you need to download the latest runtimes of directx

Thank you for your suggestion.  I should have told you that I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate, just got a new computer and it's been a real pain transferring older programs that I was using on XP.  And yes I do have the XP mode installed but I've found that still some of the programs that I could run on my older computer with XP won't work in the XP mode.   One  in particular that I was hoping would work was MW4 Merc. having a bad case of withdrawls.    I loved that game and hope that MWLL is just half of what that game was.

But anyway I'll try the download, I might have a corrupt file that this download will fix.  Thank you again and I will let you know if it works.

Xp mode for windows 7 is for old business applications, not for games. Just a heads up.

But what kind of apps does it work for? Well, it's important to remember what the target market is: line-of-business applications. It's not for games, it's not for anything that's too performance sensitive, it's not for anything that needs hardware access; it's for all those crappy applications I talked about before. So... there's no 3D acceleration; no OpenGL or Direct3D in the Virtual Machine. I wouldn't want to run any graphically intensive DOS applications either; a solution such as DOSbox is probably better there. Though not surprising for the target usage (prior versions of Virtual PC don't support 3D acceleration either, after all), 3D acceleration is something that other virtualization software is starting to provide.

+1 XP mode is useless for gaming.  This is not to be confused with using XP compatibility mode which is different.  Though for MWLL you shouldn't need any of that.

I brought and installed Win 7 2 months ago. What I didn't relise was the DX with Win 7, is TWO YEARS out of date. Just update DX and the game will run fine.

Mw mercs should work in Win 7, it worked in vista x64 no problem, so I doubt Win 7 is much different.

Well I update the runtimes of directx but now I have another problem.  While at least now I can get pass the menu, the next screen I see is a big, black, blank.  The screen doesn't preceed from that point, I can ESC, use the start menu button and I have to force the shutoff to reboot the system.

Now what do I do? 

Would it be advisible to restore my system to default and start over?

Oh by the way, my system is a 64bit

You need to run MWLL as admin, and make sure you have allowed full access rights to the ''My game'' folder in 'My Documents'. You also need to give full access rights to the main Crysis folder.

Oh and restart after doing that.

This fixes the problem for me, I hope for you too.
